We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our 17 night trip to Hawaii-the hotel is very conveniently located, close to many restaurants and shops. The best part of the property was the pool and the nice gentle beach. We decided to spend our last day at Kona at the beach, enjoying the scenery and snorkeling. The breakfast buffet was great, we did not eat at the bar, so no reviews there. Our room was great, even though we had a view of the tennis court and parking lot.

This is a hotel in a very convenient location, right in town with all the restaurants and right at the Kailua-Kona pier, which is the start of the Ironman Triathlon and offers incredible swimming. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Be aware that those overlooking the pool and beach can be loud. Breakfast is nice; great view and the buffet is decent. If you are looking for quiet, this isn’t it, but location can’t be beat. Service is also very good, especially from Annie in the restaurant, and the front desk staff were excellent at addressing issues that came up during our stay.

Run down hotel. My husband is disabled and needs a roll in shower. Upon checking into our closet, yes that about the size of the rooms, we realized our view for 450.00 a night was the roof top to a building. I asked the front desk if they had any ocean views or partial ocean view. I was told NO DISABLED ROOM HAVE ANY VIEW OF THE OCEAN. Not worthy of it I suppose? Rude. After putting some clothes away in our tiny room, which consisted of 4 drawers, we realized the bathroom had no wheel in shower. Went back to the front desk and I told them he needs the roll on shower, as WE BOOKED, so he finally found us one. Picked up all our things again, and moved to the new tiny room. This view is of the tennis courts. As a North America, travel agent who has traveled extensively, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. It’s ridiculously overpriced. Sticking to my IHG hotels! MUCH BETTER!

Avoid If you Marriott Elite Platinum and above than avoid this hotel and go to Waikoloa Ocean Resort . No upgrade and No Breakfast . View of the Parking lot . GM not on site but his voice mail says he will return in March . This is May 2023 . Left a message with front desk and requested to talk to on site duty manager but did not receive the call . High parking fee of $25 Additional Amenities fee of $22 just to use practically Pool and Beach . Rooms are dated and property is Yamanouchi a joke I’m trying to see very old . Bath needs to be upgraded . Elite che k in counter not exist but just sign there but you have to stand in line with rest of the crowd . You don’t get acknowledged as Elite member . We had very wonderful stay and experience at Waikoloa Marriott . Just moved here to be close to the Airport but actually it s only 15 minute time difference . Hotel have contract with Airline so stranded passengers and Pilots presence is seen . For any question they wants to you to refer to Courtyard policy .

I have stayed at the King Kam, many times and for over 45 years! The location is extremely convenient and close to everything in Kailua Kona. The accommodations are comfortable, clean and a great value! The staff is always friendly, hardworking and helpful! Most of the rooms have great views and are offered at good rates. I have worked within the Hotel and Travel Industry for more than 43 years, I have stayed at the hotel MANY times and booked hundreds of room nights for clients. I have always received wonderful comments, reviews and very satisfied clients! I have stayed at the King Kam myself numerous times within the last few years, for business. I am also a Bonvoy member and stay at hundreds of Marriott properties every year. I must commend a very special and extraordinary employee... "Missy" on the Front Desk is absolutely Amazing! I have observed her many times greeting, working and dealing with guests. Missy is always Kind, Caring and Helpful. I have rarely experienced/witnessed the hospitality, professionalism and welcome she shows to every guest! Missy is a true example of Hawaiian Hospitality and the ALOHA SPIRIT!

The manager Jake and his staff were totally welcoming and showed the true Aloha Spirit that makes Hawaii unique! On the lobby floor there is an art exhibit with pictures of the old Hawaiian monarchy and gives a history of the islands that was very educational. We had an oceanfront room and the view was magical. The location is excellent and easy to walk to various restaurants and bars. The beautiful beach is adjacent to the hotel 's pool and made it very convenient to get drinks from the hotel and enjoy them at the beach watching the sunset. Definitely a 10+!!

I stayed one night while visiting customers on Kona. Check in was easy. Front desk staff were very friendly. My room was at the front of the hotel offering a bit of an ocean view. The room itself was clean and the bed very comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. The bathroom was small and dark; however, got the job done. The two free Mai Tai’s was a nice touch. The pool area was nice. I can understand why some complained about a lack of pool chairs. It looked like there were as many as could fit in the space. The bar was nice. It was over by the pool. Prices were what would be expected from a hotel bar in Hawaii….a bit pricy. The gym was adequate with cardio and weights. I didn’t eat at the restaurant or walk down to the beach so I can’t speak to either of those. Overall, for me it was a great quick stay.

Staying at Courtyard by Marriott King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel was the best beach resort I have ever stayed in. The lobby itself was beautiful, nice, and clean. I stayed here for 10 days with my mom celebrating my moms retirement and my college graduation. The room that we stayed in was an ocean front view which was very beautiful and breathtaking every morning that I woke up. The beach resort itself is very clean and spacious. I loved and enjoyed my stay here at King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel. I loved going downstairs and walking over to the ABC store within walking distance. The cool thing about staying at King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel was they have a gym at the resort which I used everyday. Staying at King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel made me feel like royalty. Both staff and management have made my stay at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel really enjoyable. I give a huge thank you to the management team (Ed and Jake). Ed and Jake have really made my Hawaii vacation especially the staff as well. Ed and Jake especially the whole team would always greet us in a very warm and welcoming way. I will never forget my experience here both Ed and Jake have really made my stay at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel. Not to mention that they have the best luau at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel. Best place to stay in Kona. I highly recommend!

Courtyard King Kamehameha, Kona Beach Resort, was extremely beautiful and clean. The lobby was full of beautiful Hawaiian arts depicting the history of Hawaiian culture, especially homage to King Kamehameha and his royal lineage. The hotel is very rich in history and education. They even do an educational, historical tour at 9:30am, on Saturdays - meet the tour guide in the lobby. Room was beautiful, updated, and very clean. Housekeeping services every other day. If you need anything (like extra towels) just call Housekeeping and they promptly bring it to you. Services were excellent! My daughter and I stayed at the hotel/resort for 10 days celebrating my retirement and her college graduation. We were both impressed at the friendly and polite staff greeting us every day and the professionalism of management (Ed and Jake). They really make our stay ENJOYABLE and the entire vacation MEMORABLE! My young adult daughter was thoroughly impressed with the services and cleanliness of the hotel. She especially loved the hotel’s nice and clean fitness center because she used it every day to work out. Both staff and management (Ed and Jake) truly depicted the “aloha spirit” of Hawaii, specifically going above and beyond. We loved their daily breakfast buffet (delicious- with many options!) at Honu’s Restaurant (award winning restaurant) on the hotel’s private beach. It has a beautiful view of the clear blue and turquoise water. We swam in shallow the beach - it was so fun and safe! The hotel’s private beach is just gorgeous! Oh, and don’t forget to sign up to attend the hotel’s Luau (called the Island Breeze Luau). Sign up for VIP tickets for best seats and services! It is the best luau with excellent entertainment and food quality. FYI: We went to another luau nearby but the food and entertainment were sorely lacking and does not compare to Island Breeze Luau. Where to stay on your your precious vacation is so important. Courtyard King Kamehameha does not disappoint- they went above and beyond our expectations in terms of services, cleanliness, and professionalism. An extra huge bonus, you are staying on royal estate rich in history, culture, and education. On top of that, the physical location is just excellent- right in the heart of downtown Kona where all the fun is - the retail stores, superb top local restaurants, activities, historical sites, and Kona Farmers Markets! Do not miss your opportunity to stay here! You will be not be disappointed. My young adult daughter and I HIGHLY recommend!!!

We had stayed 2 nights at the Royal Kona and 2 nights here. This hotel is nicer, but as we used points, I'm not sure I would pay $500 to stay here. The room was nice, but our view was of the parking lot. The pool and beach area are nice, and we received 3 drink coupons, which was great - very good Mai Tai's. I hate paying the resort fee, especially for things that should be included or you don't even use - but that's at every hotel now.
