This is a Bed and Breakfast place. We stayed for 7 days. Thou the owners were on vacation their friend Ina made us feel welcomed. The place is 10 minutes from the shore up in the hills where there is a lot of green and cooler weather than at the sea level so very comfortable for night sleep. Every little... More

We had a perfect stay in this beautiful bed and breakfast in the middle of paradise. Not only did we get the best breakfast ever but also were given outstanding recommendations and great beach gear (for free!)! The rooms are spacious with a great terrace surrounded by a wonderful garden. We hope to come back soon to this outstanding place.

My wife and I celebrated our 39th anniversary with a trip back to the Big Island, where we had not been since our 25th anniversary. We decided to stay with Wendy and Dave at Honu Kai, and it was a wonderful choice. We were greeted like long-lost friends, and were treated like that for six days. From letting me borrow... More

An absolutely lovely place to stay on the Kona side of the Big Island. We spent six wonderful days there. Wendi and Dave are simply the best hosts. They provided deluxe accommodations, delicious breakfasts and great advice for making our stay so very enjoyable. They anticipated everything we would need on our excursions. We toured the Island's attractions with their... More

Wow! We were welcomed from the minute we arrived until we left. Wendi and David were the perfect host/hostess. They didn't miss an amenity. Their home is perfect. We stayed in the master but would be happy to stay in any of their rooms! Our only regret was we didn't stay long enough!!!

We were after a room at the B&B at first, but were travelling in a group of three, so settled for the condo instead. Especially if you are after a rather quiet surrounding and are into playing golf – this is your spot! It is located in a gated community a short drive up the Kona coast from the airport,... More

Mahalo Christine for your review of our Golf Villas condo. Although we missed the three of you staying here at the B&B, we are delighted to hear that our Mauna Lani Condo "Sister Property" worked out so well for you. We did not purchase that property as a rental or investment property, but rather as our home at which we... More

Dave and Wendy truly make you feel at home. Upon arrival Dave met us at the car to welcome us and offered us a glass of wine and oriented us to the B&B. LOVE the large lanai with lounges, firepit, outside kitchen, and large dining table and chairs (where we had our breakfasts). We stayed in the Nigori Room, which... More

Mahalo Ruth for your review of Honu Kai B&B and the lovely description of our island home. We stayed there on our honeymoon and had a wonderful time! Dave and Wendy are truly world class! The property is quiet and secluded, we enjoyed waking up with morning bird song. The food was delicious and varied day by day, never had the same dish twice. Then after breakfast just ask Wendy or Dave about where you want to... More

Mahalo for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to right a great review. I can't begin to describe this fabulous guest house. Lovely, luxurious, comfortable accomodation. Excellent restaurant quality breakfasts, helpful & friendly hosts. Little touches like provision of all beach gear, snacks, maps, info made the whole stay worth while. Peaceful location. Beautiful grounds and garden. Felt very much at home, safe & welcomed. Thank you, Wendi & Dave. Highly recommend
