We enjoyed our stay at Mango Sunset B & B. The access road was a challenge to find the first time. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. Every evening the sunset view over the ocean was priceless. Highly recommend for an affordable stay.

We got off to a rocky start, because this place is not easy to find, and the twin driveways defy logical navigation. Once we got there, we were charmed. Our room was comfortable, and the sliding door opened to a stone patio with a stellar view down the mountain to the coast. We slept with the door open and the... More

We had a difficult time speaking with the B&B. Called to advise them of late arrival and they said they had no reservation for us. We booked through Expedia and called them & they said reservation was confirmed. Left 2 more voice mail messages at B&B with request for them to return our call but they never did. According to... The Guest called me on the day of the alleged reservation in the morning, but I was sold out -- sorry, I did not get your reservation from Expedia. This online reservation system is not always reliable, and I have spent countless hours on the phone with them, trying to iron out differences -- but all of those were well... More

There certainly is a great view as you are about 2000ft over looking the town to the east. Lovely sunsets, so well named. The B&B is run and owned by Hans and Marsha. Hans is a rude, arrogant old man with not the slightest sense of humour. I really do wonder why he is in the hospitality industry. Marsha on... More

My wife and I stayed there during the week of the Iron Man championship this past October. We had a very nice time there. The rooms aren't super luxurious, but very nice, and clean. The farm is located just into the coffee growing region above the airport and is about a ten minute drive into town. Hans is very interesting... More

We loved our stay at Mango Sunset - Marsha and Hans did everything they could to make our stay pleasant. Hans was so interesting with his worldly experiences. We sat for hours and just listened. They all work so very hard and coming from a farm we could appreciate their generosity in giving up so much of their time to... More

My husband stayed there on 7th and 8th Oct 2015. There were small cotton mats at each side of the bed, a small mat around the toilet and another under the hand basin. They were all dirty. The underneath of the toilet seat and the toilet bowl rim were also dirty. The floor in the bedroom is a timber look... More

Oh Boy! All room mats are checked for cleanness and washed once a week. That the toilet was dirty is pretty unlikely, as we check them before each guest arrives. The floor in the bedroom "is a timber-look vinyl and was smelling of urine in one spot": As all of our floors in the house, except the baths which are... More

We stayed for one week at the Mango Sunset B&B and enjoyed it very much! It feels like you are a part of the family. The Honu room was our home for this week, some people would say it is small but who will stay the whole day in the room when there is so much to discover at the island.... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3nights at the start of April. We were very impressed by the friendly hosts and fantastic breakfast. My girlfriend is a vegan and the owners made vegan pancakes for her breakfast. Which she thoroughly enjoyed. The coffee was great and we were able to buy some to take home with us. The rooms... We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed so much meeting and talking with Marsha. We didn't get a chance to tell her thank you and goodbye, but we'll be back. Fantastic breakfast Hans and enjoyed meeting you on our last morning there 3/23/15. The view, the grounds, room, pets, guys that helped in the mornings, breakfast and coffee were superb.... More
