This hotel was pretty average. Entrance to rooms were located outside more like a motel. Rooms were a little outdated. Pools, and restaurant were nice. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. It is not located on the beach so you only have to pool to use. I assumed this hotel would be more luxury because it was in Hawaii so... More

This was a great place to stay to tour the Big Island - close to everything and the service and activities fantastic at the hotel. From here you can tour the coffee plantations, the volcano, the beaches, snorkel, tour the island.

I find it so interesting to try to gauge ratings based on other people's unknown taste and expectations or standards. Based on the positive reviews, we booked a week here after staying at Westin Villas in Maui. Big disappointment, by comparison but that's like going from 5 star to a 3 star. The resort itself is ok. To me, it... More

This resort has great customer service. This is the second time we have stayed at this resort. It has great snorkeling straight from the resort with their own rental gear and people to help you out right at the water. Highly recommend this resort.

The resort was a nice place to stay for almost a week. It served as our base for Captain Cook's Monument Reef Snorkeling, Two Steps Snorkeling, Night Manta Ray Excursion and general sightseeing. The pool was the highlight for my family. The water slide is a blast and the view is incredible. But as with most vacation spots it is... More

We had a great room after having to reaffirm our ocean view promise- first room only had a sliver of ocean but they changed us right away when we complained. Great for kids. Really nice accessibility to snorkeling that was really nice. Just a heads up though if you get seasick the bay is a little wavy but lots of... More

We stayed at the Sheraton twice on our most recent visit- on the first night we got in to Kona and on our last night (we had a condo in between). We booked the last night because due to Tropical Storm Darby we couldn't go to our already booked hotel on the Hilo side, so we had to find something... More

Location is great, only a 15 mins drive from town and 20min drive from the airport. The ocean and coastline views are breathtaking but the hotel is old and needs a facelift including the rooms. The air condition in the room is also especially weak considering the temperatures.

Arriving tomorrow and already having a great experience with this resort. Bethany Llanes in concierge has been helping me book some tours this week. I was suppose to pay my final payment today for a tour and Bethany was off so she had someone else assist me. I received a call from her later on in the day making sure... More

Stayed 5 nights while on a trip to Big Island with my wife and 2 kids. Fantastic resort, nice spacious rooms, nice pool with amenities, water slides. Closer to restaurants, shops etc (within a 5 minute drive). The view is beautiful from this place. Swimming with the Manta ray is close to the hotel property. Closer to a few beaches.... More
