stayed one week at the kona coast resort. the condo unit was spacious and had a nice layout. the grounds were nicely kept and the staff was friendly. the only downsides were a neighbor that did a bit of pounding early in the mornings and the housekeeping was less than standard. left us without tp twice, short on towels, and... This was the first of two places my waife and I stayed for our honeymoon. I was really worried about whether we would end up with a "Premium" type room that they advertise, or if we would get a run-down room since we were trading through Interval. I have to say, we were both very happy with our accomodations! We... More

We loved this place. It's far enough from downtown Kailua to be quiet; yet just down from small shopping center with grocery store and several decent restaurants, and close enough to highway to easily get to anywhere on the island. Alert: the rooms do NOT face the ocean but ours looked out on golf course - very restful. One bed,... More

Nice facilities and staff. We stayed 2 weeks and very much enjoyed ourselves. Staff was friendly. Had a TV problem and the staff member was there within 5 minutes to fix it. Only negative was a single cockroach that appeared in the kitchen and when we mentioned it to the staff they offered to immediately spray the condo for us.... More

We have stayed at the Kona Coast Resort many times, and for the most part have been delighted. Upon arrival, you will notice the abundant natural beauty. A sweeping view of the Pacific, gardens and well-kept grounds make this a paradise. There is even an untouched Heiau, or Hawaiian spiritual site, on the premises. There are two distinctly different phases... More

Stayed at the Kona Coast over March Break and enjoyed every moment of it ! Managed to get a Phase 2 1 Bedroom unit facing the golf course and could see the ocean and breaking waves - very pleasant. Rooms were spacious, staff was very friendly - the main pool and hot tub were not big but the kids loved... More

I was a little worried about staying here, as I had read some reviews about the interiors being bad, but our experience was wonderful. The condo has been recently remodeled, and though it's an older unit, the furnishings are nice and very comfortable. The condo was clean and well appointed, and very large. we had six people, so two slept... More

This condominium features large, open rooms, ceiling fans, washer/dryer (with detergent), very clean rooms, kitchen supplies, and a dishwasher. The lanai is large and furnished, including a lounge chair, so it is perfect for enjoying your meals or stretching out. One small negative was the $11 air conditioning charge (per day!), but we didn’t need it. Also wireless internet access... More

I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!! The website is deceiving showing a much better room than what's actually there. There is apparently 2 phases of units - one built in the 70's and looks like nothing has ever been done to it other than the bathroom. We tried to get into the newer phase (built in the 90's),... We just returned from the Big Island. Our stay at the Kona Coast was very pleasant. It was a very nice condominium, with large, open rooms, vaulted ceilings, washer/dryer, etc. This was a good base for our explorations. For me, there was only one negative: Extra charges. Using the air-conditioner costs an extra $8.00+ per day. I appreciate going green,... More
