It's been a week since we got back from our Hawaiian destination wedding. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about the resort. My husband and I chose the Royal Kona Resort because we felt comfortable with our email exchange with Brian and Ashley from the beginning. They were so accomodating, professional and answered all my questions promptly.... More

Aloha TA family, great to see these newlyweds had a wonderful stay, and wedding with us. Their review pretty much nails it. Our Romance team is really tops, second to none, and will ensure you're special occasion, wedding, vow renewal or special event goes off without a hitch. I'm sure we'll see them next year for their first anniversary! Mahalo More

We stayed in the Bay Tower and it was really showing its age - peeling paint, stained carpet, dated decor. But ... our room was large, the bed very comfortable, cleanliness acceptable, efficient air conditioning, and the view from the lanai was awesome. We had asked for an ocean front room and they delivered. We didn't eat at the resort,... More

Aloha TA Family, great to know they enjoyed our fantastic location, the pool that sits right next to the ocean edge, and the great food and beverages we serve at Don's Mai Tai Bar. As mentioned, we're not the newest resort, but do strive to provide a clean and well maintained resort for our guests to enjoy. And yes, no... More

The employees were good, but deferred maintenance every where, stuff growing inside main light fixtures to dinning & bar, & on the lattice over dinning area. All towels well worn,The railings keeping one from falling from the multi-story atrium looks below safety codes for height. It could be very nice if the owners would clean & maintain. Rich

We just got back from a 6 night vacation at the Royal Kona. This is not a high end hotel but, is still a wonderful resort. We were given an oceanfront room and Wow what a view. The rooms are good size and very clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. They have a little beach and lagoon here, which... More

Before arriving here, we had just been at Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu, where they treat customers like gold. More like silver or nickel here at Royal Kona Resort. Royal Kona didn't have a resort fee, but they charge for ever little thing. Local phone calls, calling card phone calls, 800 # phone calls, parking, and not sure what else.... More

Aloha TA family, sorry to hear these guests were disappointed with their accommodations. Seems like when it rains it pours, so read between the lines. No resort fees, items like internet, parking are ala carte, if you don't use, you don't pay, simple. Most people use their cell phones now for calls etc. As for the pool, yes we do... More

Aloha TA family, its great to see how much these guests enjoyed their stay with us. It's pretty apparent we met and exceeded their expectations, we're glad they had such a good time. It is only rated as a 3 star and could easily be more with a bit of extra maintenance. The view is worth 5 stars. The staff were really nice and the room was clean. We would definitely recommend this hotel as a reasonably priced choice in an amazing area.

The hotel is old (classic?). Go there knowing that it is old and then appreciate everything else about it. Room 253 is in a separate building with a lanai facing the ocean. Incredible ocean view. Room has a small bar counter off the bathroom with a sink and a bar fridge. The building has convenient main floor laundry facilities. Breakfast... More

Aloha TA Family, another satisfied, well traveled guest. They pretty much nailed the fact that we have amazing rooms with all the amenities your expect at a first class resort. My wife and I spent six great nights in a very large garden/ocean view room with a Lanai. It is a dated hotel but clean, the dresser had sticky drawers, but the windows had wooden shutters which were great. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom small. Large flatscreenTV, small fridge and large closet for all our clothes. For children... More

We did not see the other towers, so I don't know how modern they are, but the Lagoon Tower needed just about everything new. We upgraded to an ocean view and that was remarkable, but everything else needed to be brought into this century. The staff was excellent, though.
