If you're looking for a really nice hotel room, this is not the place for you. The rooms are outdated, mostly clean (our shower could have used some bleach), and housekeeping wasn't very responsive or attentive.

December is the rainy season but the temps are still in the 80's. Kona is on the leeward side of the island so it gets less rain than Hilo. KOA is the nearest airport for access to the west side of the island.
