Our room was well located just south of Kona and north of "Place of refuge" and Kealakekua Bay (our favorite spots). We found the room to be spacious (2 bathrooms, one large bedroom, kitchen, living room, laundry room and personal parking space) and very clean. There was no air conditioning, but with ceiling fans, it wasn't really needed. You could...

We were VERY pleased with the ocean-front location of this complex. We were looking forward to relaxing evenings watching beautiful sunsets, and we were not disappointed on that front. We also enjoyed the constant variety of water-front activity to watch (dolphins, outriggers, paddle boarders, and kayakers) amid soft ocean breezes. (Note: No need to pay extra for air in this...

In fact, we didn't bother to stay. We made reservations for an ocean front 2 bedroom condo. When we checked in we were told the best they could do for us was an ocean view condo. We were also informed that the pool was closed - something we were not told when we made the reservation, even though they knew...

My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom, ocean view condo (#2501) which was spacious, nicely furnished and best of all - had two lanais, one of which faced the ocean. Ceiling fans supplemented the constant ocean breeze eliminating the need to pay the ridiculous $15/day air conditioning fee. The kitchen was very poorly equipped making meal preparation a...

These condos have lots of space and are well equipped. The location is right on the ocean and near a grocery store and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and the staff is nice. We were in an ocean front unit and really enjoyed watching the boats go out of the small harbor a short way down the road. It...

The Good: The rooms are very large. Our family of four could live in one of the rooms nicely. We stayed in both a garden view and ocean view. Having a kitchen and washer and dryer was great. If you are looking for value in a nice place to stay this is it. The Bad: For some this may not...

Our first night was hampered because we had requested a ground-floor room for physical reasons and were shocked to discover 15 steps to reach our room. The view was spectacular, but a week of those stairs not possible. Explaining our problem the next day was well received and a grournd floor unit provided sans the great view, but otherwise comfortable...

The Outrigger Kanaloa at Kona is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful location. Each room is a 2-3 story condo complete with kitchen, living room, and multiple lanais. The units are grouped in areas within a lush tropical surrounding. Paths between units make for beautiful walks around the grounds and golf course. The rooms are comfortable but warm. Air conditioning...
