We did a siblings/spouses vacation to Hawaii in late March. I made all reservations for lodging. Having stayed at Kanaloa twice before, I knew I couldn't go wrong. At booking time, I could only get 1 ocean-front Condo, but at check-in time, another one was available, and they upgraded us for free! A great surprise! We had the 2 bedrooms... More

We rented unit 3403, through Trip-advisor and Castle. These units were built in 1980 and the owners update them as needed. They are spacious and well positioned if you get an ocean view. The front desk staff is awesome and the concierge, Hank, is a delight. No pressure to do anything you are not interested in. Housekeeping is responsive. About... More

From the day of our condo was broken into while we were there asleep. We are still dealing with our losses and all the management wanted to do for us was a small discount on our next stay. Totally unexceptional, so be for warned that the place is not safe and management does not care.

Aloha, In 2015 our property and the Kona area suffered from vandalism. We took immediate action by adding video surveillance, modify our security staffing and implementing new security procedures. We assisted the affected guests in every way possible and extended an offer for a future stay. I care very much about the experience of all our guests. Hawaii has been... More

We really enjoyed our stay. We were originally going to stay somewhere else, but then our group increased to five people and we needed a bigger place. We really lucked out by finding this one. We came at night, and the staff was really nice getting us to our room. I should say mini palace. It had stairs. The art... More

Quiet, serene paradise set on a coastal view of aquamarine sea. Big shout-out to a very helpful Shelley (pre-arrival and during our week stay) and concierge Hank. Our unit #2906 was a beautiful two level condo that allowed for a full view of the majestic evening sunsets. Two bedrooms, laundry, fully stocked unit (big screen TV's, three balconies, massive walk... More

We stayed at this condo complex during our recent visit to Hawaii. Many thanks to Shelley at the front desk and Hank at the concierge for their helpful and friendly guidance and advice. Unit 2906 was clean and spacious for the four of us. Excellent guidance to all the amenities and the view was awesome.

Stayed here for 4 nights on family vacation. HUGE two bedroom condo with 3 TVs (which we never watched), full kitchen (saved on some meals) and washer/dryer in the apartment. VERY well maintained. VERY quiet, hardly heard anyone else around. Breakfast on the lanai, listening to the birds and watching the mongooses play was great. 3 pools/hot tubs: One is... More

After staying in a different condo in this complex 2 years ago, we were surprised by the vast difference in quality and experience for the same price. In need of a thorough wash down, wall to wall. Could benefit from updated furnishings to make it more inviting and comfortable. Though this unit can sleep up to 5 or 6, one... More

Aloha, It is disappointing that the unit you stayed in did not meet your expectation. Each unit is individually owned and the decor is the decision of the owner. There are many units to select from at Kanaloa and we hope that your 3rd stay is better than your second. More

We loved this place. Our condo was spacious and clean and the ocean view was lovely. There are three pools, one just for adults. The ocean front pool's setting is gorgeous. The pool by the lobby was open a bit later so was good for the kids to get a dip in before bed. The staff was very friendly and... More

We stayed in a unit on the sea - the ocean breeze was plenty to cool off our unit at night - I can't say what it would have been without the it. I was told that it would have been an additional $30.00 per day to use the air conditioning. We had a 2 bedroom with a loft unit.... More
