The gym was ok, little bit hot and not fully top but ok... (thank you 2 the staff 🙏)
Good communication (Oui, oui, Milos)...
Nice and relaxing environment inbetween 2 small cities.
Greetings to the nice staff from Cliff, the crazy gym guy from.Belgium.
The location is fine for those who have cars. They have enough space in parking lot.
- If you plan to go there by bus, make sure you ask bus driver to drop you at the beginning of Selce (as soon as the bus leaves Crikvenica), instead of at "Selce" bus stop.
It is located in the middle way between Crikvenica and Selce. There is a small local supermarket, just next to the hotel. It took less than 10 minutes walking to Selce city center, where there are supermarket (Konsum), shops, and restaurants. To walk to Crikvenica takes longer time than to Selce with nothing but tiny beaches on the way.
The reception staff is always the nicest.
The hotel room is old-furnished. Bed and pillow are fine. The sofa and seats in the room are too old to be comfortable (no enough soft material inside.)
TV is pretty small and old but is still usable. There are mostly local channels with a couple of German channels. An only English channel is CNN.
In-room safe box is pretty old and a bit more complicated to use than nowadays safe box in other hotels i had visited. It did not work as written in the instructions.
Bathroom is pretty clean. They provide soap and shampoo + 2 glasses, nothing else. The glass partition on Bathtub is too old and doesn't glue to bathtub anymore. This made the floor pretty much wet and the shower massage facility in the shower cannot be used because it made the floor very wet. The hair dryer is so poor that I had to give up before my hair is really dry...everyday.
There is no Wi-fi available in the room at all, but they have LAN cable for Notebook. (and I am writing in 2013 where everybody carries only their smartphone!) The Wi-fi at the lobby is extremely good. I had no problem watching stuff on Youtube.
Breakfast is pretty good in European standard if you stay their only for 1-2 nights, but it is the same everyday and is pretty much boring if you stay longer than that and if you prefer a full-meal breakfast like me. The choices for hot food are boiled egg, a boiled sausage, beacon, scramble egg, and a fried sausage. Salami, ham, cheese are the cold choices.
There are a couple of choices for bread and 2-3 kinds of sweets (pie/cake) without toaster :-(
There are 2 kinds of jams + something like Nutella + 2-3 pastes. For the drink, they got a couple of choices for tea and coffee with hot milk and hot water provided. There are also 4-5 kinds of yoghurt, 3 kinds of dried fruits, and 2-3 kinds of cornflakes. There is also option of fruits. Lastly, they got water, apple juice and orange juice..all from the same machine.
One thing I don't like about breakfast room is that the tables with good view are all reserved from longer-stay guests. When I came early for breakfast, I did not get a chance to get window seat. I could get window seat when I came late after a group of guests already used that table. They reserve tables the whole morning. This is terrible because they mostly come late for breakfast and the tables have to be left-over the whole 1-2 hours unused. They should just let the guest choose the table with first-come-first-serve basis or at least write down on the table which time the table will be used (which I know that it's not possible to let them do that during holiday)
I also find that the staff in the breakfast/dinning room look unfriendly most of the time.
There are many tiny public beaches next to the hotel. Those nearby beaches do not have rental umbrella and chairs. If you would like to rent them, you have to walk further to the other larger noisy beaches.
I like those tiny beaches close to the hotel. They are all rock beaches, no sandy beach. The sea water was extremely clear! The facility nearby is very nice for family with small children. It was nice there. However, it would be pretty much more peaceful if there are no children/teenagers staying at the next-door camp. They were very noisy at the beach and we hear them from hotel room.
Rooms well appointed with sea views and balcony.
Restaurant was adequate with buffet meals and food was good. Breakfast can be eaten outside on the restaurant balcony.
Quite location with sun lounge area and comfortable loungers.
Most clients went to the sea front area which is concrete platforms with sea access.
English spoken in reception but bar staff etc not.
"Room X06 seems to have more private balcony with sea view (partly building view) as it is at the hotel lobby side. Rooms at the front share balcony area with room partitions. They seems to be noisy since lots of guests coming out and stay at the balcony (and smoke)"Read full review
