Stayed here for 11 nights with my partner. Firstly, if you have small children or are disabled then this hotel is not suitable. There is several steeps and steps to get to everywhere. I would say it is more of a complex than a hotel. There is a small reception, no lounge and no bar except on the seafront at the a la carte restaurant. We went half board and that doesn’t include drinks at dinner here - not even water. Room was basic but nice and clean. Bedding is changed every 4 days and towels when you leave in the shower. Pool towels are free initially but if you would like to swap for a fresh clean one then it’s 20 Kuna per towel. Beach is pebbles so be sure to bring water shoes! Nice couple of bars and restaurants 5-10 minute walk away. If you’re looking for a holiday to get drunk and party then this is not the place. If you like nice evening strolls and a couple of drinks then this is suitable. For the last 2 days the weather was bad. We was able to go to the sister hotel right next door and use the indoor pool & sauna. All in all a good holiday! Wouldn’t visit again, that’s because of the area as there is not much to do if visited again. There’s a DRs surgery by the school about 10 minutes walk who do Covid tests for return to the UK for 150Kuna

Hotel's Favorite
What can I say about this holiday and hotel? Well, it turned out to be our favourite family holiday so far. We arrived at the resort about 2 hours before our room was ready but we were able to put our cases in the luggage room and went to explore the area, stopping off at a cafe for lunch followed by an ice cream. Once our room was ready, we followed the directions and trekked to our room. I say trek because the rooms are set into a hillside and ours was at the top. With two cases, it was a bit of an effort. It was only later we discover the escalators. Yes, there are outdoor escalators to help you work your way up! I actually liked the extra bit of leg work we had as it gave us a chance to burn off some calories from the delicious food we’d consumed. More about that later. Our room was a 2 bedroom apartment which was a pleasant surprise as only booked a one bedroom apartment. The living room had a big flat screen tv, sofa bed, dining table & chairs and everything you would need to cook if that was your plan. Only thing missing was a toaster I suppose. We just toasted our bread in a pan. The bedrooms were amazing. Spacious, plenty of storage for clothes, bedside tables and vanity stations in each room with a stool. It was so easy to get ready and nice having that personal space. Bathroom was equipped with everything, shower gel on a dispenser and a removable shower head, I hate the ones you can’t pull down. We had a huge double balcony, dining table abs chairs on one side and recliners with a small table on the other side. The balcony was accessible from one of the bedrooms and the living room. If you didn’t want your room cleaned or not to be disturbed, there is a control pad in the dining room and this can be read from a little screen outside the front door by the cleaning staff. WiFi is superb throughout the complex from poolside to apartment, I watched films, made calls via FaceTime without issue. The pool is open from 8am-8pm and you can put your towels down from 8am. My husband and did this and used to go for morning walks by the harbour while it was still quiet. Bliss! Food in the area was reasonable, £35-£50 for 2 adults and two teens with drinks. Superb restaurants we visited twice or more for evening meals were Fast Food Prince (nicer than your standard fast food, the fries were delicious) and Laguna. For breakfast, we had cereal, toast and fresh fruit on our balcony at our own pace and leisure. No rush down to a canteen right queue and over-indulge. Lunch was mostly bought from the local bakers, Mlinar (like Greggs only so much nicer). We’d buy wraps and pastries and get drinks, crisps & yogurts from the supermarket next door. We’d take these back to our pool loungers and eat. In the afternoon we’d have an ice cream and then choose a nice place to eat in the evenings as mentioned before. We took a trip on Excursion Mikela to Lim Fjord for a swim then back on the boat for lunch, it was delicious, to carry on to Rovinj for a 2 hour stop off to explore. Along the way, the seagulls follow you during lunch which is quite exciting and you pass plenty of nudist beaches although you’re far away enough not to blush too much. It was a lovely experience. We visited St Martin’s Church and Bell Tower. It looks far away but it is literally a 20 minute walk. It’s uphill but take your time and take water. There are lovely cafes along the way and there is a small charge to go to the top of the bell tower but worth it for the views. The church was also open which is beautiful. While you’re up there, go to Viewpoint Casanova. A place where Casanova visited. Entertainment at the hotel wasn’t one every night but it wasn’t needed. It was live musicians or DJs. We found Caffe Bar Nieves which has delicious cocktails, live music and football matches at the back of the bar. The harbour is magical seeing all the fancy and some not so fancy boats. We went Go Karting one night and there is a little market with trampolines etc for younger kids. The beach is small but there is a boardwalk alongside the waters edge where you can hire 2 beds and a parasol for 100kunas (about £20). We did this one afternoon but preferred our poolside loungers. They do aqua aerobics daily around 12.30. We just loved this place, it was both magical and beautiful. My only criticism is the room smelt a little damp initially but it either went or we got used to it. Either way, it wasn’t a major issue and we would return to this place in a heartbeat. We love Vsar & Resort Belvedere. Thank you for a most memorable and hospitable holiday!

This holiday was amazing, firstly I must thank TUI for there ease of getting there safely. We got there early like a lot of guests so we had a few hours to look around. First impressions of the views are breathtaking literally, luggage was stored and locked away safety allowing us to look and explore, but having been up since 3am a cold drink was very welcome. Our room was in the 300’s bit of a hike but good to burn of the really nice food. The rooms were ok not brilliant, we asked for extra pillows and within seconds 2 were there. The cleaners were ok not great, beds weren’t made til very late in the day, toilet rolls ran out once but not a big deal, with the staff this hotel had everyone was brilliant, the young lady on the desk as you enter the restaurant, Tea was so kind to us, Denis was very supportive every time, chef’s, bar staff, very kind to us. Everything was cleaned every morning, the pool, chairs, etc. To summarise we felt very safe and most people were being sensible with masks. We were very sad to go home after a lovely sunny 10 days, we will be back.

During our stay Siniša was extremely nice and caring for our well being as well as the rest of the staff. Not to neglect the effort and the professionalism of the chef at the restaurant. But not only him to mention, everyone was really nice and payed a lot of attention during pur time here. A few to mention, Dejan, who was always there to serve whatever needed and have a little chat. Danijela, wherever you go you will come across her and her very welcoming attitude Alvian, still at practice but on its way to master and fulfi every wish and ask we has. Marjana, suspicious but also very open and caring during our stay and even for every special ask very welcoming. Vera and the ladies from the reception, we have had a bit of a hard start in the beginning but after that we felt so welcoming and the staff was so full of attention that you have to seek for that. All in all a great team with great people and od course if we are for this kid of vacation, we will come back. Thank you and stay well
