Wow wow wow ! We are so impressed! We where there in 5:me, my husband, our two daughters (9 and 5 years old ) and dog ( chihuahua). The park it’s really big and very nice ! Every day was something do to! Great swimming pools for adults and kids ! Mini disco in the evening, bakery very close from house, restaurants also very close ! The park it’s so big - from our house to the dog beach we went by car !!!! We had a really good time! All staff very friendly! It’s was beter than in 5 stars hotel !!!! You have to go there by yourself to know what we are talking about!
Really huge site with plenty of open space for swimming, water sports, swimming. The area around Charlie’s bar and the glamping area was a particularly nice. The check-in process for camping ‘partner’ companies (I presume anyone not booked directly with the park) is terribly inefficient. The queue on arrival was a good 45 minutes, and this was after having queued once for the campsite regular check-in. This really needs to be sorted as everything else on the site was run very well.
I stayed at Park Umag in glamping tent with my family. The tent was nice, great views and close to the beach. The only downside which we found really annoying was loud music very late night from the beach bar close to the glamping tents. The loud music was playing every night, all night long and kept us awake. It was so loud that children couldn't fall asleep. Also other neighbours found the music really annoying especially becouse it doesn't stop at 22 p.m. as is usual at all other places. Since the bar is camping's facility the management of Park Umag could easily provide they shut down the music at normal hour - 22 p.m. This way Park Umag would be a great place for family holidays and we would come back.
It's nice place to go camping. Place is clean (bathrooms, surrounding, beach). Plots are quite big if you go with only camping tent. They have also kids club and mini disco for little ones. :) You can find also bunch of other activities there for everyone.
Cheaper than other European countries, this camp site resort is highly recommended. Fab location with own lengthy access to beach, loads of water sports and great snorkelling. Lovely bars and restaurant on site selling delicious local and international dishes. Seafood in particular very good. Excellent facilities, cleaned 24/7. Good size pitches albeit not all with good shade. Friendly staff, all speak English and all evening entertainment through medium of English. Well worth making the journey - we took our touring caravan. Several places to also visit along the coast - we took several boat trips but you could easily spend days on the site. Overall, highly recommended
Our first euro camp trip after recommendation from a friend . We absolutely loved this place , so much to do for everyone. It’s not a sandy beach it’s rocky , which is fab for lots of snorkelling and exploring. Pools where great but busy , so don’t expect to get a sun lounger. We used to sit on the grass anyway. All staff are friendly and helpful. The only negative and was the caravan was a bit dated , but to be honest we were out all day so just a place to sleep . Definitely hire a car and explore the little hidden coves and beautiful neighbouring towns .. we loved Croatia and will definitely be back 😀
Positives This is a great park for families with lots of activities for children. There is a wide variety of day and evening entertainment and when we were there a beer festival and fireworks happened which was excellent. It is spotlessly clean and effort has been made with landscaping pretty plants etc. We tried all restaurants and the food was all very tasty, the pizza is excellent. We saw very good facilities for campers. It is a very safe resort, our children made lots of friends at the football court. We recommend the Happy Bar, great drink prices and fab live music! Negatives It is huge! Not a negative if you are positioned in the centre. But the mobile home we were put in was a 25 min walk to the pool and main area. I would never book an apartment that was a 25 min walk to the pool. There is a mini train but you have to pay for it. There are bikes to hire but they are expensive. If you drive in you must take bikes. But if you fly in like us you must email the camp and tell them you need central accommodation. The train should be free! Second negative is as others have said, the costs onsite. In one restaurant our children asked for ketchup. They bought only one sachet for 2 boys but we realised why when we got our receipt. We were charged just under a pound for it. This is unbelievable! The supermarkets really range. Some things are priced fine others are crazy expensive. They charge for everything, included sunbeds round the pool. Expect to spend a lot of money!…
We liked this camp, good facilities, clean and tidy, decent stuff going on and good pools/beach area. We’ve been to camps like this before and although not our favourite (union lido in Italy is immense) but it’s up there. The main issue is the cost of everything on camp, it’s prohibitively expensive to the point where it makes you a bit miserable. I appreciate you when you’ve got a captive audience, prices go up but this place went to the point of price gouging. Camps should be a family friendly environment that is affordable in my opinion and the costs spoiled things.
Had a wonderful time. Endless possibilities for toddlers to have fun. The staff especially the Club activities staff is very very friendly. Camping day was organized so well and again the staff did a great job. Definitely recommended for young families although there's literally something for everyone to do here. Even the economy camping areas have clean sanitation facilities. We are extremely pleased to have spent our vacation here.
First, the positives. This campsite is clean, safe and well-equipped. The location is fabulous in terms of proximity to the sea with around a mile of access to the water. The accommodation- we were in a classic cabin - was fine for a family of six. Second some areas for development and a few things to watch out for. Families, expect to be nickel and dimed to death. The pool and the volleyball and five a side football is free. Everything else isnt - the tennis, the beach inflatables, the watersports (very expensive), the 'footpool' etc. Most irritating are the charges for the loungers and the umbrellas in the pool area - come on! Camping Umag, if you simply charged a little more and made more of the activities free, this would make the overall experience a much friendlier one. Otherwise it feels a bit like Thenardier's tavern; "two percent for looking in the mirror twice". You also probably need to invest in an additional pool area given the size of the park overall. But this didnt stop us from having a good time here...we just felt a little bit fleeced. In terms of being well placed to explore the area it's very good. Major waterpark only a short drive away :)…
