Arena Grand Kažela Campsite is one of the largest campsites in Croatia that stretches along two kilometres of Adriatic coastline. It is situated on the very south of the Istrian peninsula, in a tranquil Mediterranean location close to some of the best beaches in Istria, and about two kilometres from lively Medulin and twelve kilometres from the urban centre of Istria – Pula. The campsite features two kilometres of rocky and pebbly beaches, spacious sunbathed pitches and new fully equipped camping homes. Panoramic views of picturesque Cape Kamenjak, Medulin Bay and its scattered islets unfold from almost every corner of the campsite. On a clear day, even the miles away Cres and Lošinj Islands can be seen. Fully renovated in 2019 and 2020 to provide a modern camping holiday of a high standard, this previous partially naturist campsite, will start the season 2020 as a textile only campsite. Modern facilities including a family area with a pool complex and a huge water slide, kids’ and teens’ entertainment tents and playgrounds, beachfront restaurants and pool bars, a sports’ bar offering a variety of sports equipment for rent, and even the longest pool in Croatia, among many others, make Arena Grand Kažela a truly modern beachfront camping resort perfect for a carefree family holiday in the Mediterranean outdoors.

🙂 The camping area is huge and there is something for every taste, it is clean and the pitches are nice and big with electricity and water connections.
The location right by the sea is great and there are lots of things to do (jet skiing, windsurfing, stand up paddling, etc.) and there is a nice big pool with a slide for the kids.
The showers and toilets are clean and are cleaned regularly.
We went to the restaurant on the first evening to eat by the pool, it was OK and there was something for everyone in the selection, the price/performance ratio OK.
🙁 We still have a few small negative points:
You have to pay for the loungers by the pool every day (12€ for 2 loungers and 1 umbrella) and we don't think that's appropriate for the camping price
The slide could use a little repair (perhaps removing rust and repainting)
The prices in the small camping supermarket are very expensive
But overall a very nice, huge, clean place right by the sea, and family friendly.
We would come back again

We were there with our caravan and the caravan place is really beautiful with sea view but the sanitary facilities nearby the luxury campground is really old and always looks dirty.
There are better sanitaries on the campsite but these nearby our caravan are really poor.
So this could definitely be better!
The campground is also easily muddy when it rains and it takes long to be dry again.
If these two points would be better it could almost be a 4,5 star but like this it's just at least 3 stars

Nice campsite , very new and well maintained. We had the sea view bungalow on the front line. Many dogs on the beach as a result a lot of barking. The bungalow and very nice , it lacks some equipment for the kitchen and the knives did not cut. The mattresses are very hard and the room with three beds is not for young adults but rather for children up to 16 years old. The big black point of this campsite is the infamous smell of gas that smells almost everywhere when you eat on your terrace it is not very pleasant.

Hotel's Favorite
We had an amazing holiday at this camp during previous week. We spend there 8 nights and went there with caravan and got a place in a peace area. We had wonderful neighbors and took a huuuge break time. We enjoyed swimming ( we are swimmers), snorkeling, padleboarding and also swimming pools. We also visited several exhibitions at Pula, some tourist attractions and time was flowing quickly.. 2 days there was wind, but we enjoyed waves at the jetty in a secure distance. We are happy we have decides to spend the time there.

Nice looking site. Beach is rocky and pebbly but popular. Bear in mind that this site takes up most of the surrounding area.
We stayed in a small one-bed ground floor apartment that was in identical concrete blocks that made it hard to find your place even a week later. Layout inside was poorly laid out and not at all accessible with the oversized TV obstructing the doorway with the fridge on the opposite corner.
We were lucky to have working air-con which was really needed, others in our group didn’t for over half their stay.
It is really expensive here and everything is chargeable. You will be truly rinsed clean during your stay make no mistake even in the on-site supermarket. Make sure you find the Lidl in town!
We could cope with all this…just…but what really let’s this place down is the attitude of some of the staff. Reception staff in particular, if you want to be treated with absolute contempt with added palpable disdain then this is the place for you!!
The site is situated in a lovely area of Croatia but there are campers on every spare patch of land around the whole area that kind of spoils the beauty.
The best part of this place is the sea and the best part of my holiday was the people I went with as it ended up funny to get yet another grumpy staff member!

Simply unbearable. Never again.
Spent so much money on our vacation here with two children and very unhappy with the complex. We had a house next to the sea and the pool. The pool is cleaned from 6 a.m. and from then on you couldn't sleep. Very loud and the house has no insulation. Music is also playing all the time and even when all the windows are closed you can hear all the music very loudly. One night the music was non-stop until 8 a.m. Our children couldn't sleep all night. Our 10-month-old baby just cried because the music was way too loud for him.
For those who just want to party, the complex might be recommended if you don't place so much value on cleanliness.
The room is also very dirty and there are mini ants everywhere in the kitchen. There is hair everywhere on the floor.
The loungers by the pool are not free, only if you book expensive houses by the sea.
On the positive side, we got a high chair and baby bed.
Otherwise there is plenty of space for children, children's entertainment and a beautiful view.
The sea near the complex is very clean, but unfortunately you can't walk there with children, there are big stones and it's very slippery.

Let me start by saying that I have been camping in Croatia for 15 years now but I had never been to this one, I used to go to Premantura, while in Medulin I had been to the campsite near the amusement park a few years ago, but then I ran away because of the disco. close.
I must say that the Grand Kazela is far superior to the others in terms of services offered, it is very well equipped and clean, the pitches are spacious, there is entertainment for children, teenagers and also adults, my son particularly appreciated the football matches organized in the evening by the entertainers 💪🏻.
The only flaw is that the costs in Croatia in the "tourist" areas have really risen disproportionately, on par with, if not more than, the Italian destinations (so I no longer see the convenience), and even camping is no less worth paying €90. For a pitch it seems really too much to me, considering that a few years ago I rented a villa for €50 per day. Anyway inside there is the supermarket which is very convenient but has really crazy prices.
P.S.
I'm leaving 5 stars anyway because the campsite really deserves it, it's very nice and equipped.
Probably the problem is that we Italians can no longer go on holiday either in Italy or abroad because our economic power is very low and therefore everything seems out of market to us 😢.

We (family with two children aged 13 and 10) spent 6 wonderful days at the campsite.
Thanks to an online check-in, there was no waiting time on arrival. The mobile home was in the third row from the sea.
The accommodation was very modern, clean and well equipped.
Large "garden area" with gravel around the mobile home.
Air conditioning only works when you are present, as it has to be activated with the door key.
There were enough activities all around, these can also be found on the official website. It should be noted here that table tennis was also subject to a charge - in this price category it should not be necessary to place an additional burden on holidaymakers. The beach bars were OK in terms of price structure and not overpriced.
Yes - a large campsite, but you don't notice the crowds because of the spacious complex.
The complex was well-kept and clean - we had nothing to complain about here.
Walking distance along the coast to Medulin: approx. 25 - 30 minutes walk.
In the evenings there is always a traffic jam on the road through Medulin because it is far too busy - but you are on holiday and not on the run.
We really enjoyed it and we are very likely to return.

This site is massive. Lots of families. And near to the sea. It is well managed and the staff team are lovely. However - dont go in the sea on the site. I went in on my first day and ended up in hospital wit sprained ankle and 5 stitches. The rocks are very sharp and there are no warning signs. Food in site was very expensive as were the drinks which were poor quality. Washing up faciliries were a disgrace - 3 basins for over 300 campers. Near to medulin and there is a small train - agsin rip off 7 euros each way! The nearest hospital is in Pula so be very careful if you choose to go to this site

Very very large and magnificent complex.
Plan your bikes.
Everything is new and incredibly clean.
The view of the sea is splendid but remember to wear beach shoes.
Prices are the same as in Belgium.
The super market is very complete and the prices are reasonable.
On the other hand, it is unacceptable to ask for payment to use the deckchairs at the swimming pool. I have never experienced this!! And besides, we refused to pay but stayed on our deckchair and ultimately everyone did the same.
Review the sun lounger policy for the rest.
It's flawless
