This hotel is a very special place. It has the lovely atmosphere of an elegant hunters lodge, equipped with hand crafted wooden ceilings, lush leather chairs in the lobby. Along the beautiful scenic setting in which it is located overlooking beautiful birch trees, it is distinguished by its warm hearted staff. We were greated with welcoming smiles, were given a tour of the lodge, after that had great food there and played a round of chess. I was able to enjoy a nice glass of local red wine, too.
I highly recommend it. The value for money is unbelievable. The feel is that of an elegant 5* lodge. Many things to discover. I definitely want to be back.
The spa area is lovely, the rooms were well kept equipped, very elegant and classic.
From time to time my phone was losing signal - and you know what? It was wonderful that it did! I truly enjoyed this stay. My partner loved discovering Buzdludza, and we had a great stay.
Thank you. You are doing a fantastic job!
Greetings from Vienna, and I hope to see you again!

Good Hotel, but the SPA center is extremely dirty. The only thing you can use is 4 Person Sauna. Beautiful, but not clean. You can See flesh in the jacuzzi and you can literally See all the deseases you can have After using it. Too bad for such a beautiful Hotel.

We booked this hotel near the start of the year as part of a trip to Bulgaria to celebrate a 50th birthday. This hotel was specifically chosen so we could have a nice evening meal and a lovely room with great scenery and a good breakfast to wake up to. We also independently confirmed with the hotel to check we could have a vegetarian option at dinner and they even suggested they could provide cake or champagne etc to celebrate the birthday for additional cost. TWO days before we were due to be there (whilst in Bulgaria at another hotel) we received a call to say they were cancelling our hotel as they weren't open! The person who had taken our booking had made a mistake and no longer worked there! No alternative was given so we were left having to find alternative accommodation for ourselves and our two children. We then had to spend a morning looking for last minute availability, not easy given it was August! We did find a guest house several miles away and not as nice as we had planned. We managed to book this with the help of the hotel we were staying at. Not surprisingly we were very disappointed especially as it was such a special occasion and they had had our booking since the 16th January, Six whole months in which to tell us we couldn't stay. Although we had a confirmed booking no apology or compensation was given and we had all the stress and inconvenience of finding an alternative at short notice. Be warned! We did visit Shipka and found the area really interesting so it was very frustrating we weren't able to stay there as planned.

One of the best locations in the Stara Zagora region. The hotel site is absolutely beautiful, right into the forrest and very near the "U.F.O." type building, as I like to call it.
The rooms are well spaced, are clean, the sound proofing is also worth mentioning, the quietness of the entire hotel is staggering (a plus if you want to rest well).
The restaurant has a wide selection of meals and drinks, the Game Room is also a nice place to have some fun, shooting pool or playing fusball.
The staff is very friendly and although not everybody speaks English, any potential problem is solved quickly.
In conclusion, if you want a nice and quiet escape deep within the forrest upon the mountain top, then Hotel Edelweiss is the best choice.

the hotel is pretty nice but the restaurant needs more improvements
the waiter brig us some other salad
also bring us some other water
the beer was warm
they forgot about 2 main courses
we waited like more than an hour to eat something
they promised us free parking spaces but they dont have enough space for all of the cars
the good thing is that the air is fresh in their location
the room and the bathroom looks ok
but i m not comming here anymore

Apparently, this is where the bigwigs stayed when visiting Buzludzha - take the time to read the history tab on the hotel's website, you won't regret it. Since we love mountains, wanted to visit Buzludzha and thought the history was interesting, this was a perfect place to stay the night, but I think it would get lonely fast if you stayed longer. Immaculate rooms and friendly staff that put on a huge breakfast. My only suggestion would be to not have MTV blasting from a big screen during breakfast, it kind of ruins the stately atmosphere you've got going on there.

Nice location, the room was not adequately clean but with nice balkony view and spacious enough. Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy our simple breakfast because we found strain of hair between 2 slides of cheese. The staff was friendly .
