The room was comfortable and the a/c worked (temps of 110 F outside), most of the staff was very nice, and the breakfast was acceptable. HOWEVER, the pool was unswimmable, being cloudy (not enough chlorine?), with bugs and pieces of litter in the water (the poolside deck area was unkempt as well). We arrived on a Monday craving a swim, but the pool wasn't even marginally acceptable until Tuesday afternoon, though the cloudiness was never remedied. This is unacceptable for a motel in the desert in July. The management blamed a weekend windstorm (but the pool still wasn't good even on Wednesday when we left) and not enough staff to maintain it properly (my recommendation to the manager- hire a pool company, but she didn't like this suggestion). I expected better from a Best Western! Unless changes are made, be careful about staying here!

Clean room and responsive staff. I would recommend it to anyone who wants reasonably priced accommodations. The Joshua tree national Park is a magnificent location. This hotel is near the north western most entrance to the park. When you are there, check out the garden surrounded by the motel buildings. It’s absolutely lovely good

Old worn out hotel near the Joshua NP, clean-ish but the a/c was making a lot of noise. The check in was easy and fast, the room was medium and was kind of old, there really needed to do some makeover or lower the prices. It's a good place to stay one night if you are planning on visiting the park.

Mahalo to the staff for saving a very special trip for us. Our reservation at another hotel was cancelled due to commifornia's travel advisories. We are so grateful that your establishment was not afraid to stay in business. Our room was neat and clean. Scarlet and Ashley were super helpful and nice. We travel to 29 as often as we can and we will be staying here again. Only con was that when we needed to check out, no one was in the lobby and by the time someone came there were 4 of us in line outside in the cold. That wont deter us bc we are sure it is bc they were busy keeping things sorted! Aloha!!

E2610ZGdianac, We are very pleased we were able to accommodate you and your family on such short notice. We are glad to know overall you had a pleasant stay and enjoyed your clean room and our friendly staff. However, we are sorry to hear that no one was in the lobby at the time of checkout. This will be addressed to make sure our guests do no have to wait in the cold for long. We appreciate you sharing your feedback about your stay with us, and we look forward to welcoming you again!

We had a double room which was very large with a large refrigerator, a coffee machine, and microwave. The bathroom was also large. There was an extra sink outside of the bathroom near the microwave and refrigerator. Breakfast is not included but the price was excellent. The office was closed and we checked in at the neighboring hotel owned by the same company. The desk clerk was very nice.

The only pro was that it was on the cheaper side and the mattress was ok. A lot of cons though. The initial counter girl was rude but the one at check out was great. The room was clean but the sheets were stained and the bathroom was filthy. There were hairs everywhere. Stuck to the wall, door, shower curtain, tub walls. Towels were horribly stained. The shower valve didn't work so you had to turn it and pray hot water came out at some point but if you happened to hit after that ice cold water again. We couldn't use the AC unit because the blower fan sounding like it had Transformers fighting in it. The pillows felt like they were cut up square pieces of couch cushion stuffed in a bag. I know this hotel was cheap but it wasn't cheap enough for all of this.

I stayed here last Friday night, July 12. I went to the office but it was closed due to remodeling and to go next door to The Rodeway Inn. No problem, just was hot!! Check-in was a breeze and had an upstairs room. Nice and quiet. Slept pretty good. Bed was comfy and ac worked fine as it was about 115 F outside. Refrigerator and coffee maker in the room which was nice!! Only problem I had was the TV remote didn't work so I manually got the TV on. Reported that in the morning and they were going to get new batteries for the remote right away. Enjoyed my stay. Staff were very nice. Breakfast looked ok, I just had some coffee, a banana and a muffin to go as I had to get going home. Would stay again.

I made a reservation on for this hotel a few days before I was supposed to check in. I called them twice to confirm the reservation. Both times I was dismissed quickly, and the person on the phone told me to not worry because the reservation had gone through. However, I hadn't received an email confirmation. When I arrived on check-in day, they told me there was no reservation for me and the only option was to upgrade to a room that was double the price. My friends and I were upset since we called TWICE to confirm, so we left. A few days after, I was CHARGED the full amount for the room the hotel said was not available for me. AWFUL LOCATION. The front desk people are not helpful and are very rude. When I called to figured out the mess, they dismissed me and were "unsure" if I can get refunded. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR AN UNAVAILABLE ROOM.

Arriving late after a flight from Charlotte we found our room clean & comfortable enough. As we settled into bed for the night & turned off the lights 3 large stinky beetles ran across us. In the process of evicting them we also found an apple seed sized brown bug on the sheets at the head of the bed. Upon squashing it, fresh, red blood exuded. We have travelled extensively & never encountered this before. Being exhausted & given the lateness of the hour all we could do was attempt to sleep with the lights on & change into & sleep in, long sleeves & full length pants. At checkout we were thanked for letting management know & that is all. Under the circumstances we do believe compensation for a terrible night & an undertaking to fumigate & install mattress encasements would have been more appropriate. We have never stayed at this chain before & due to this experience probably never will again.
