Very generous space (2 of us had a room that could sleep 6), excellent lighting, and even clean carpets! We thought this hotel was newer than its 9 years. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast area could use reorganization; everyone was crowded into...More
We needed one night's lodging as we passed through Joshua Tree National Park on our journey from San Diego to Las Vegas. Since it was a Hilton affiliated hotel, we chose the Fairfield. From what we could see of the other options in Twentynine Palms,...More
Large, clean room with bed and sitting/desk area. Microwave and fridge. Good lighting. There could better outlet placement at the bedside tables. Pool but no hot tub. Wired and wireless internet. Friendly and efficient staff.
Ok, this is not the Ritz, do not expect something special, it is a Fairfield Inn! but, given that, all facilities are in great working order, clean, and pleasant to use. The rooms are simple to spartan, but in great condition and cleanliness.
The bathroom is clean, the breakfast room is clean. Breakfast is excellent, front desk staff very helpful and polite. Only 5 miles from the park. This is a perfect place to stay when visiting Johua Tree. Best place for dinner was the Palm Restaurant. It...More

Palm Springs is about a 35 to 40 minute drive from Twentynine Palms and Indio is about a 45 minute drive from Twentynine Palms. As far as public transportation, I believe there is limited bus service between the cities. The Fairfield in Twentynine Palms does not have limo service. Taxi service between the cities I would believe is pretty expensive. Car rental facilities at the Palm Springs airport is available and depending on the time of the year not too unreasonable.I would not stay in Twentynine Palms without my own or rented vehicle. You might check with the hotel about the bus service between the 3 cities
