To stay at Villa Via Pacis is like coming home. Ivanka and Kreso treat you like family and are warm and welcoming. They don't just try, they know how you make your stay most comfortable. We were 42 people (high school students and adults) on pilgrimage and Ivanka and Kreso arranged for a guide, meals and worked around our schedule. We couldn't have been better cared for. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation and plan to stay again when we come back in 2011!!

Villa Via Pacis is situated just a five minute walk from the Church. A ten minute walk to Apparition Hill and a five minute walk to Cross mountain. The view from the flower-laced garden allows you to see both hills very clearly. The accommodations are very new and modern. The hosts Kreso and Ivanka Vasilj are very kind and gracious people. Always ready to please. One is made to feel like they are at home there. To me traveling so far from home those things mean a great deal to me. I'm sure they will for you also. The meals are all home made and tasty. The family is also very good at helping people with special needs. The price is very reasonable also. This is the most modern hotel in the Village. They also speak fluent English.

I have stayed at Villa Via Pacis three times and each time was better than the previous. The accomodations are very nice and comfortable. The service and meals are excellent as well as the hospitality. It is a place of peace and quiet. A place where I found it easy to relax and think and most importantly pray. THe short walk to St. James Church is very convenient. I must say the whole experience was just beautiful. I recommend the Villa Via Pacis to everyone.

Because I take groups to pilgrimage sites, I have stayed at this hotel many, many times. I had stayed in other properties in Medjugorje before I found this one and believe me, I would never change! Clean, excellent food, great hosts and it is in a prime location in Medjugorje; only a five minute walk to St. James. This means you can walk back to relax in the beautiful rooms during the day and in many places you are much too far to take advantage of this option. All in all a great place for anyone and family friendly too!

I travelled on my own in September to Medjugorje and stayed in the Irish Centre Accommodation just beside St. james's church. For someone travelling alone this location was just perfect. I stayed in a room with two beds, which meant I had to pay the extra supplement. Next time i stay there i will query this a bit more. They may not have single rooms. It was a very small room with rail for wardrobe. It had a kettle and cup and saucer with teabags and sugar. The en-suite was good size. Everything was very clean, and towel changes every 2 days. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and supplied me with hair dryer immediately on request. I would recommend this accommodation for someone on their own. The Irish Centre also has more plush apartments about 15 -20 mins walk from Church. I feel this would have been unsuitable for me as i was on my own and I would have been a bit nervous going home at night time on my own..
All-in-all I had a very pleasant there. It's basic but clean and location could not be better.

Knowing that time is short and an opportunity like this one should not be passed, we came to Medjugorje as Husband, Wife, Grandma, Grandpa, and three of our children, ages twelve, nine and one. Three others we left home with the other Grandparents due to their age. The infant came as a direct order from Mommy. We arrived at Villa Via Pacis tired and hungry due to a long journey and arrived at 11:30 P.M. to a hot meal and a comfortable bed. The owners, Ivanka and Kreisa offered us hospitality and care, the kind that you know is real, the kind that is born out of the first days when Our Lady asked the villagers to house Her pilgrims. They, through Mary's grace, have garnered a place where now even the largest pilgrimages can be kept, fed, and bedded down every night in sound comfort. Extravagant, no, it wouldn't fit such a humble place, but Comfortable and Hospitable in the truest sense of these words. The comfort gave us the opportunity to experience Medjugorje with a sense of rejuvination, and purpose and the hospitality was simply Christ-like. We will stay at Villa Via Pacis again if and when Mary calls us back.

This place is magnificent. The attention we received from the owners and their staff made us feel just like home. This is a plus when you travel from far away and it makes it a more meaningful and complete experience. Would recommend this place to anyone interested in Medjugorje.

My wife and I had a chance to travel with Mary Ann's pilgrim group in early July of this year. Ivanka and Kresco were the perfect hosts, always accommodating and the hotel and the surrounding groups very peaceful and clean. The roome were truly more than we really expected and their breakfasts and lunches were appealing and wonderfully filling. As we've looked back on our trip there several weeks later, we would not have changed a thing and would suggest pilgrims seriously consider staying at this place, of peace. It is adjacent to the "downtown" area and at the fringe of the field at the same time. You will not regret the experience. No blind eyes here, just appreciation.

I am a Westin type of a girl when it comes to lodging. However, as a pilgrimage, I wanted to stay at more of B&B type of place in Medjugorje.
My parents stayed here due to its good reviews on Tripadvisor a month ago and they loved it every single moment- so it was my turn to give this place a try.

We arrived and they offered us espresso while giving us guidance ( maps, locations, things to see, etc- it was very helpful even though it was not my first time in Medjugorje) on few things. Place was super modern and extremely clean. She gave us two rooms to choose from and we picked #108.

It had two beds- one king and one single. Bathroom was extremely clean and modern.
Now.. onto the bed, I did not have much expectation because it's not Ritz or Westin... um, Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and so were linens and pillows. As I said, bedding is really important to me, so I usually stay at high end hotels when I travel. This place had exceeded my expectations. SUPER comfortable bed!!!! And it was very clean and new.

It's centrally located- it's in the middle of the apparition mountain (5 mins walking), cross mountain (5-7 mins walking)and St. James. There are three short cuts to St. James- it took us 3 minutes walking to get to St. James.

Breakfast was good too. Again, it had everything we needed. Ivanka was always nice enough to offer anything we needed...She really took care of us and was very sincere.
When my mom was here about a month ago, she fell in love with wine they offered... and I briefly mentioned if I could buy some... she prepared a bottle of really tasty wine and refused to accept money. What a sweet lady!

Also, during our stay, Ivanka would come back from the cross mountain in the mornings. She remembers everything you say or do and make sure you are taken care of - She's the type of host you definitely want while you are in Medjugorje...This is why I love Medjugorje- people go here to pray and to be closer to God.
And Ivanka is such a perfect host in that aspect. When we left this place, she told us that she would pray for us. And I know that she was being genuine.

This is a perfect place for pilgrimage. Don't look any further.

Thank you! I hope to see you soon!

Jee & JJ
