A quite stay on the edge of the dunes. Solid staff with COVID preparations clearly labelled. There is no air conditioning for the hottest days of summer. The lo cation is excellent, being relatively close to the beach or harbour. Ypres and Dunkirk is less than an hour away by car. The hotel is basic so, bring your own toiletries. Due to COVID, breakfast was served at every station. All was explained ahead of time and plenty of hand sanitizer was available. The evening meal was pasta and muscles, but the price appeared excessive. Plenty of restaurants in the area, all COVID ready. Considering the play ground, the hotels is better prepared for families with small children.

No "kids club" kind of place, but acceptable quality and nice setting in the dunes.
Parents can relax while the kids play all afternoon in the great playground behind the hotel.

400m walk to the sea.

Neg: when rainy weather no real amusementpossibilities inside

2 restaurants: 1 self service with good quality food "like at home"
1 "a la carte " restaurant, which has really very good dishes with " extra touch": Good!

Most rooms have kitchens, so you can self cater if wanted

A real surprise find, caters for groups and large families (six of us). We stayed in one if their modern decorated apartments which was clean and affordable, close to resorts of De Panne, Nieuwpoort and Middlekirk, with access to shopping and good restaurants.

This is the in-between solution, you like to go on holiday with friends or family with hotel service but with a maximum of privacy, this is it!
You can rent rooms, flats or apartments, so you have your own place, but still join each other for breakfast lunch or diner in the building. The breakfast is of decent hotel quality, the self service is of a better standard quality and the "Gastronoom" is an à la carte restaurant with succulent menus and dishes.
I love staying here as the kids can run around within the premises, attack the playground or wander about in the dunes, while dad & mum can sip from a beer, relaxing and reading in the sun.
Great place!

We stayed in an apartment for 2 nights. Breakfast was ok, food in the evening was overprized and very basic. I did not like it. Reception staff can be more helpful , every question was a question too much. We were lucky the weather was ok.
Bottom line : its ok but I dont return.

I stayed at Vakantie Domein Ter Helme in Oostduinkerke for one night.
The large as well as clean room with a modern bathroom I had was very sparse and too functional (see also photos). Therefore there was no cozy atmosphere in this room. The breakfast was okay but in a large hall like in a youth hostel, where there was also no cozy atmosphere. An advantage was that I could check-in three hours before regular check-in time started.
All in all it was too expensive for this I got offered for the price of 75,00 EUR per night inc. breakfast for single occupancy.

This hotel is great for families with small kids (4 to 14 years).
Great location, nearby the beach (5 mins walk), but also very easily access to the highway.
We only ate breakfast here. It's served in a buffet with a lot of choice.
The rooms were clean, neat and modern.

You feel like keeping your privacy and still invite family to come with you on holiday?
You like at least 4 star hotel standards and you don't mind kantine food?
You want to relax but have your kids stay on the premises? This is a great place for that.
Watch out you don't go when sports clubs rent out los of rooms. These people make a lot of noise and overpower your experience.

The rooms are very comfortable and quiet, some are even studios.
Meals are offered at democratic prices in self-service: soup, starter, main course, dessert.
Coffee/tea is not included, nor drinks other than water. You have to get them at the bar.
Beautiful sunny terrace!
