Beautiful, characterful hotel. Great location. Spotlessly clean. Very warm, helpful staff. Excellent food. Used the hotel as a base in the summer to explore the mountains. Breath-taking. I travelled solo and was made to feel so welcome at the Jakobwirt. Special mention to the wonderful, knowledgeable, caring receptionists and the lovely South African in the dining room. I enjoyed my summer visit so much I am heading back in a few weeks to experience it in winter!
This hotel is excellent in every respect. From the minute you arrive you are greeted with warmth and attention from the wonderful team at the Hotel Jakobwirt. Nothing is too much trouble and all staff gladly help with any request. Rooms are immaculate and very comfortable with large balconies overlooking the pretty town and mountains. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious with a great choice, with hot and cold food on offer and unlimited juices, coffee or tea. Evening meals are pre ordered in the morning with a choice of three options. Meals are varied and again delicious with four courses each evening. All communal areas are very comfortable, warm and beautifully decorated throughout. The pool is warm and big enough to have a decent swim in very pleasant surroundings and a joy to then relax in a very welcome sauna. Lastly the owner, Toni, is the most caring, attentive host you would wish to meet. We would definitely return to this lovely hotel.…
Stayed for for nights Dinner and breakfast. Everything was of the highest standard. Very clean room excellent breakfasts with huge choice. Dinners, good choice and well cooked and served. Staff friendly and welcoming. Owners welcoming and helpful We were on a Leger tour and received a welcoming chat from the owner.
We stayed in Hotel Jakobwirt during our mid term ski trip this year. We arrived late in the evening and were welcomed with a snack after check in which was a lovely touch. We are a family of 4 and had 2 adjoining twin rooms. The rooms are gorgeous with underfloor heating and really comfortable beds. We had lovely views of the town square and the mountains. Its located right in town and very close to everything including the main ski lift. Breakfast was really delicious with lots of choices and healthy options and everything was very plentiful. Eggs, croissants, rye bread, fruit salad, yoghurts and even bubbles. For dinner each evening we had a choice of a meat, fish, vegetarian or a kids option and all were very good. The staff were so kind and attentive, always adding little personalised touches right throughout the week. There is a pool and sauna and a games room where you can play pool too and the lobby area is very nice with good background music. On our second last day our son had an accident on the slopes that involved an ambulance trip to hospital and the hotel were fantastic arranging the medics and really looking after us all. I really recommend staying here and would love to come back again in the future. Thank you to all the team at Hotel Jakobwirt.…
Lovely hotel in a great location for skiing - just a few minutes from the hire stores and lifts. Everything was good quality, especially the service. Great breakfasts. Meat fish and veggie option every evening. Comfortable rooms. The staff speak good English. Would totally recomend.
This was a beautiful Hotel, well equipped, very clean, excellent service and the food was great. We were lucky and got a free upgrade to the room which was frankly fabulous, so much room for your luggage and equipment. The ski room was a good size too, the bus stops just round the corner and the walk to the nearest lift not too long. Westendorf has limited skiing but a 10 minute bus ride (or 45 mins skiing) gets you to Bixen & Soll areas which is really excellent and the lifts are superb. The buses run to the minute, so very predictable. The evening meal give you access to an eat as much as you like salad bar. You then have a Soup starter most days, a choice of 4 mains Vegan dishes are included and there's always a fish dish. All followed by Desert. We loved the food all week One of our best ever skiing holidays and we've done at least 20!…
Our party of 8 have just returned from a weeks ski trip, staying at this lovely hotel. Lovely rooms, delicious food, and such friendly helpful staff. I had a crisis when I ended up in hospital following a ski accident. The owner/staff could not have done any more to assist my husband make necessary arrangements to allow me to return to the hotel in time for flight home. Thank you all so much! We’ll be back.
We stayed Jan 2022 and I have to say the hotel and the service are absolutely fantastic! Would highly recommend. Breakfast and dinner is very good quality. All of the staff serve you with a smile, and the decor is lovely. The drinks menu is very reasonably priced, so there really is no reason to leave (other than for skiing).
Very recommended! We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Lovely people and warm atmosphere. Very clean and professional. Good food, and thoughtful and creative chef. The location is great for beautiful walks.
Just got back from staying for a week at the hotel for our first family ski holiday. Overall a nice stay at a improving hotel for new owners. Food was good and the service was very friendly especially from Teresa who looked after us and our young children. She is a credit to your team. The room was spacious and excellent for our needs as a family. Couple of suggestions though, a bigger bin, maybe a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, bigger towels etc. The swimming pool area is ok, quite small and not very warm either, think this needs to be addressed as it wasn’t a pleasant experience for anyone. Hotel location is excellent and suitable for the slopes and surrounding town. Cellar Bar downstairs is quirky and charming however maybe the music should start earlier than 930 to gain atmosphere and some cue tips for the pool table ! I feel the welcome to hotel should be more informative / forthcoming to what is on in the hotel / village, where we can find things, we just thought a lot of information had to be asked rather than just a basic overview or welcome pack on arrival to get you settled. Finally, we enquired about staying again next year in the same room but were told the room we had was already booked which we found slightly strange and a little disappointing. Hopefully, this review is constructive to your improving hotel and we can sort something for us to return next year as the kids now have the skiing bug !…
