Just got back from staying for a week at the hotel for our first family ski holiday. Overall a nice stay at a improving hotel for new owners. Food was good and the service was very friendly especially from Teresa who looked after us and our young children. She is a credit to your team. The room was spacious and excellent for our needs as a family. Couple of suggestions though, a bigger bin, maybe a fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, bigger towels etc. The swimming pool area is ok, quite small and not very warm either, think this needs to be addressed as it wasn’t a pleasant experience for anyone. Hotel location is excellent and suitable for the slopes and surrounding town. Cellar Bar downstairs is quirky and charming however maybe the music should start earlier than 930 to gain atmosphere and some cue tips for the pool table ! I feel the welcome to hotel should be more informative / forthcoming to what is on in the hotel / village, where we can find things, we just thought a lot of information had to be asked rather than just a basic overview or welcome pack on arrival to get you settled. Finally, we enquired about staying again next year in the same room but were told the room we had was already booked which we found slightly strange and a little disappointing. Hopefully, this review is constructive to your improving hotel and we can sort something for us to return next year as the kids now have the skiing bug !

Hello family Scott, thank you for taking the time to write an extensive review. Great to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We appriciate your feedback and we would like to give you some insights. * a fridge is available for our guests on the ground floor. Due to sustainability and care of our enviroment we have decided not to put a fridge in every room. * Tea and coffee can be ordered any time between 07:30am-10:00 pm at the ground floor or via room service. * There are 2 sizes of towles (hand and bath towel) per person available. * The swimming pool has every day 28 degrees. * The music is playing as of 09:30 pm, as our guests are usually dining until then. * We are sorry to hear, that the cue tips were damaged. This is because we allow children to play pool as well it is free of charge. The other choice would be, to open the bar only to adults and to ask for a service charge. * At arrival we provide all basic information about the hotel and offer to come any time for questions. The reception is open daily from 8:00am-10:00 pm. *Regarding next years stay, we would like to highlight that our loyal guests have priority and were allready nearly fully booked when you asked for the same room. We made an offer for 2 alternatives. We are sorry if this does not meet your needs. Thanks again for your feedback we will consider as much as possible going forward. Nevertheless we will not be able to put everything into place as it is against our overall operating principles. Best regards, Toni

Lovely hotel, really friendly staff and a comfortable lounge area. The food each night was fantastic and the wine list extremely reasonable. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the nearest lift or if you want to bus to the next resort the bus stop is just around the corner.

Good service, friendly staff and top quality, spacious rooms are the highlights of this this hotel. Food is good quality too and the buffet breakfast, including hot options, has everything anyone could want from a continental breakfast. It is an ideal base for a week’s skiing being close the lifts in Westendorf and bus stops virtually outside which give access to other areas of the Ski Welt. We did have one issue whilst we were there. The room we were initially allocated (102) is directly above the bar. There is live music into the early hours five nights a week. Some may find this an added attraction but it’s not for us oldies. The hotel claimed that they have not had any complaints of noise up to this point but after two nights we requested to be moved to a quieter room. There was no issue and our request was dealt with promptly. We were moved from a lovely room to an even lovelier room (214) on the other side of the hotel.

Dear Mr. Clinch, thank you very much for your nice feedback. We are happy to read, that you enjoyed your holiday at the Jakobwirt and in our skiing area. Our cellar bar is open 7 days a week until 01.00 a.m. and we have live music 5 days a week. It was a pleasure for us, to offer you a quieter room after you told us, that it was too noisy for you in the first nights. We hope to welcome you again one day. Best wishes from Westendorf, Lisa Hotel Jakobwirt

The Hotel Jakobwirt is located in the centre of the pretty village of Westendorf - a magic place for winter skiing and summer hiking. The new owners of the Hotel Tony and Ilsa have been steadily upgrading over the past two years. Rooms are modern, and have beautiful views of the mountains. They have kept the traditional feel of the hotel, while adding lots of modern comforts! We look forward to our next visit.

What a great Hotel:) Cannot think of anything to criticize. Staff and Owner are amazing. Friendly, helpful, simply great at what they do. My wife has intolerance to butter and cream but it’s not a problem here. Food is excellent. Central village location is very good for the evenings and it’s only a short walk to the ski lift, which gives you a little warm up before hitting the slopes:) It’s possible to ski back to hotel if there’s plenty of snow! All Good....
