Second time at this hotel and had another wonderful stay. The food is excellent, although potentially limited if you are vegetarian or vegan. The staff are extremely pleasant and friendly when you engage with them (particular mention to Tom in the bar and Barbara in the restaurant). The spa is extremely welcome after a long day's skiing although we didn't use the sauna due to the typical Austrian "no swimsuit" rule ! The rooms are a little dated but clean and relatively comfortable with an excellent shower. My only complaint, and reason for 4* not 5* review, was the pillows. They were way too soft for me and just uncomfortable. I also agree with the charge for water but this is not limited to this hotel, we have encountered it in every Austrian ski resort we have visited. We just get water from the supermarket to store in our room. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel

Comfortable and clean room. Fantastic breakfast and dinner. Very good waiting staff. Food was great and justified the hotel's 4 star rating. Close to town centre. Ski bus stop is at the hotel, and plenty of buses.

Ski holiday ( solo) and the hotel welcome; efficiency and restaurant was superb. Although full ( half term) all the staff were well prepared and the service and food in the restaurant for breakfast plus dinner was faultless. Plenty of choice ( dinner choice is pre selected from a menu during breakfast) and the food presnetation simply outstanding. Great to relax in the spotless swimming pool/relaxation area and the varied saunas - as is the custom the latter does not permit wearing of swim costumes. Ski room in cellar was dry warm and spacious. I made use of the again spotless fitness room . Definitely recommend .

Pros: Spa area is fantastic. Food is good, lovely soups and salads. Service v efficient in restaurant. Rooms cleaned v well every day. Cons: Pool closed on a Saturday. Changeover day. Really? We had to wait here until 3pm for our bus to airport on final day, so mean spirited to do this! And also games room?? 6 eur for a litre of water.. disgraceful. Tap water not "allowed ". . The attitude of the staff stinks. They are militant and unfriendly. Maybe cultural but would turn me off coming back to Austria again. The rooms in the annexe would not get 2 stars, not to mind say 4. Worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. Soll is so quiet- no buzz or vibe at all. Wouldn't return to this hotel or resort. Might try Italy next winter- they might at least treat you with some respect and welcome there.

It saddens me when I have to write a review. About a level of customer service that we had at this hotel . Our friend had a major injury. To her knee and when we were sat in the bar she needed a glass of water to take her tablets . When we asked for it the bar man he said he would have to ask the manager . The general manager appears and demanded that we pay for a glass of water. On. Another occasion he came after me demanding. I sign for my drinks , when we did not even have a drink . If. This is how they treat people I would not recommend staying at this Hotel.. the other staff were very friendly . But the general manager should be ashamed of himself and needs to learn some basic skills

Set a short 5 minute walk back from the village centre of Söll, the Hotel Tyrol has fantastic views of the surrounding mountains. We’ve skied the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser for years. Söll is the perfect location to get out and about skiing to Ellmau, Going, Scheffau, Itter, Hopfgarten and Westendorf without too much “transit” skiing. Miles of piste and fantastic mountain restaurants. But what about the Tyrol? We stayed in Room 111. An Austrian twin room, bath and balcony. It was more than adequate, and we bring loads of clothes! It had excellent views across to the Gondola Station and the Hohe Salve and to the left the Kaiser mountains. The free Wi-Fi is excellent all around the hotel with no dead spots. The ski cellar is baking hot. The leisure facilities are excellent with a fully equipped gym, sauna, massage room, children’s play room and a fantastic pool with water massage jets and jacuzzi bubbles! The restaurant staff are top notch. Absolutely 100% customer service. Julia was a star. The food at breakfast and the 5 course evening meal (of which there’s always a choice of main course including vegetarian) is far far more than adequate. In fact you’ll be absolutely stuffed! And the quality and presentation is outstanding. We’ve stayed in several of regional hotels over the many years and this is the best food quality and quantity! For access to the gondola and slopes the free ski bus stops right outside. Pink and Red routes. There’s always 2 pinks for every red. The red is quickest. Just one negative. The safe in the room isn’t free! But if you’ve used these type of safes before, it isn’t hard to work out how to use it without paying for the instructions at reception…

I stayed in the annexe with a group of friends. The rooms were large with a handy table and seating area. The balcony was also good with views to the wilder kaiser mountains. The breakfast was personally not to my taste, but what you would expect in Austria with an array of cheeses and cold meats amongst other things. The evening meals were of a very high quality, with a great salad bar and tasty soups prior to the starter, main meal and dessert. The pool area is stunning, although staying in the annexe, I needed to change and there was no obvious changeroom. I ended up changing in the gym area. I didn't bother with the sauna area, although I'm sure it's nice. The bar area was good also and the ski bus stop outside very handy. All in all, well worth a stay.

Having periodically visited Soll over the last 30 years, i often passed this hotel on the Ski bus, admiring its location, facade and its well kept appearance however this year we stayed. I have to say that this is the premier hotel in Soll. The room i was allocated in the annex was spacious, clean, well equipped and very comfortable. I did visit bedrooms in the main building and they were equally as nice. The bar is again very traditional and well stalked. The restaurant again very comfortable and traditional. The wellness centre, pool, Sauna and gym are all very modern and i would say fantastic. The standard and the selection of food is outstanding. Yes, OUTSTANDING. It must be a challenging task for any manager to run and maintain such an establishment to such a high standard. Josef, for that i take my hat off to you. Excellent Job. And for anyone else who has stayed here and rated this any less than 5 stars, get a life!

Our first time in Soll and we hit the jackpot with this hotel! Great location, beautiful accommodation, very friendly and professional staff! It ticks all the boxes, spacious rooms, great food, varied and fresh, super indoor and outdoor pools, less than one kilometre from the ski lifts! We give it 10 out of 10, and we’ll be back!!
