I grew up in Martinez and have passed by the vintage Muir Lodge sign many a time. When family business brought me back to town, I was happy to see they were economically and competitively priced, as they were very conveniently located. The sign may be vintage, but the accommodations are wonderfully modern. The rooms are completely redone, comfortable and well equipped (refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, iron and board, coffeemaker, TV, individual AC/heat, room darkening shade). The grounds are also revamped and the pool is sparkling (although closed due to pandemic). Muir Lodge gave myself, my husband, and our good friend in the adjacent room a very relaxing place to unwind after several hardworking days of packing and moving. I look forward to staying here again when next I am in town. I highly recommend booking directly with Muir Lodge rather than through a third party. They have the personal touch.

I came across the Muir Lodge Motel on Google maps. They were one of the few affordable hotels with rooms still available on Valentine's day. The rooms were updated and looked very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only negative was the walls are thin. I don't know what could be done about it with out rebuilding the entire motel. Management is aware and they provide complimentary ear plugs in the room.

I had a bunch of family come out for a surprise party and I needed 4 rooms to accommodate everyone. The staff at the hotel were amazing to help me get these rooms booked and also help me place my customized baskets in each persons room. Excellent service! My family said the rooms were very comfortable and reminded them of an old school retro look and feel which they thought was really cool. Each room had its own unique décor! Definite great stay in the small town of Martinez and I would highly recommend this place!

Not only was the room cold because of no carpet or rugs on floor but the heater was so loud that we could not hear TV or sleep but I feel scammed by the check in clerk.
I told the clerk that I did not want him to copy my driver license. after a long discussion about the need (or no need) to take a copy of the DL I handed it to him to just write down the DL number but he copied it to the computer. When I confronted him about that he just smiled. I feel like he SCAMMED me. i definitely will never stay there again and i would recommend that no body stay there.

Dear Guest, We did not receive any call from you during your stay regarding any issues in the room. Our rooms are maintained and checked daily. After rechecking the room you had stayed in we did not notice the heater making noise anywhere near the level you have stated. We never enjoy disappointing a guest during the time with us but bashing our rooms because you did not want to verify yourself during check-in is not appreciated. We verify and enter every guest into our secure system, the intention is not to scam someone. We've had the same check-in process for over 10 years and no complaint from all our wonderful guests. Have a nice day and hope you stay with us again in the future.

Upon approach a mid century modern delight with a cool signage and pool and single floor drive up to your door lay out. Convenience can't be beat of parking in front of your room and carrying in your luggage a few steps to the door. Once inside what you find is a nicely designed updated and modern room With wonderful curtains, a nice wood floor a comfortable bed and even a couple pastries and water for breakfast. Nice fridge and micro as well. Everything one could need seems like and very clean. Loved the stay ... thank you to the team at Muir Lodge Motel !

The room was large and spotlessly clean. The management was very friendly along with the cleaning personnel. The location is perfect for sightseeing Napa, Vallejo, And trails are close by. Restaurants and gas stations are very close. Will definitely stay here again

Love this place - so clean and comfortable with lots of thoughtful extras that we didn’t expect for the price. We weren’t bothered by noise or early light, thanks to ear plugs and darkening shades (as well as light privacy shades) on the windows. While we didn’t need a refrigerator or microwave for our short stay, it is very nice that those conveniences are available. The pool looked inviting and the outdoor chairs for relaxing with a morning cup of coffee are a nice touch.
