Carol has always wanted to visit Austria ever since she was a teenager which is a long time ago and so we went to Hotel Fischer to celebrate. The hotel is in the centre of St. Johann which is a pretty little market town in the Tirol which is close to Bavaria in Germany. We stayed there for a week... More

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at Hotel Fischer, it was our first visit to the hotel and St Johann and we were not disappointed by either. We found plenty of things to do in and around St Johann and our daughter especially liked the local pool, which if you use the outdoor pools is free all day... More

We stayed here tor 7 nights half board in July. The room was adequate, with a private balcony. However, we found the beds were very uncomfortable, and there was only one pillow, which was small and "soggy"/deflated. The bathroom was okay but the soap dispenser was odd and didn't work. Also, due to the positioning of the shower door it... More

We have spent two great weeks at the Hotel Fischer and genuinely recommend the comfort, meals and friendly and efficient staff. This hotel is rated at 3 star but we feel it well deserves a 4 star rating. Looking forward to returning to enjoy the warm atmosphere here. Thank you all for such an enjoyable holiday. We've just come back from a lovely holiday in St Johann where we stayed at the Hotel Fischer. We were given a room on the 4th floor but there is a lift to all floors so this didn't matter at all. In fact we had a lovely view over the square and watched 2 concerts from the window which was... More

Amazing service, fantastic holiday. The room was lovely, the whole place was spotless and the food was great, the only disappointment was that rain prevented the weekly mountain breakfast - but it's a great excuse for having to return! We'll definitely be back, thanks everyone at Hotel Fischer for making our week so good and for spoiling Mike on his... More

From start to finish, our experience at Hotel Fischer was incredibly warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming. All the staff did their utmost to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction - there was nothing that we could fault at all. The food was spot on - nothing too fussy, just good, well prepared and varied meals. They have a childrens'... More

Everything is wonderful about this hotel except the food, due to the lack of fish on the menu. It was only offered once as a main course during our stay. Ask about the special rail ticket at the hotel if you plan to travel a distance as we did not find out about this until we had already travelled. The... More
