A big thank you to all the staff at Hotel Bruggwirt in St. Johan. The hotel is stylish and spotlessly clean. We had a lovely half term ski break and the food and the food was great. There is a fab spa and sauna downstairs too! Thanks again for your friendly welcome and especially the restaurant staff working so hard morning & night. We hope to return soon. Richard and Travis (Dublin)

We stayed in this hotel a fair few years ago (It think its had a facelift since) but regardless of this it was a great hotel when we stayed there. Last year we stayed in an Airbnb and decided to go out for a nice meal one eve and passed the Bruggwirt and decided it fitted the bill. We had an excellent meal there, only part way through realising it was the hotel we had stayed at previously. This year we returned to the Airbnb in St Johann and decided to return to the Bruggwirt for a meal. Again, it was excellent. The food is traditionally Austrian and delicious. The staff are very attentive and actually recognised us from the year before. I'd recommend this from past experience as a decent hotel to stay in. And I'd definitely recommend the restaurant if you're looking for someone to get a nice meal on St Johann.

We stayed here for a week in february 2109 with a group of friends and family on a ski holiday. There were 4 children among our party. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful at all times. The food at night for dinner and in the mornings for breakfast in the restaurant (we went half board) was really good every time. At breakfast there was a nice selection of fresh bread, coffees, teas, juice, meats, cheeses, eggs and bacon as well as a waffle maker which was a big hit with the kids. For dinner each night we had a choice of one meat, one fish and one vegetarian and kids choice as well. The hotel is really pretty and nicely decorated inside. our rooms were compact but nice. The main ski lift is just a short walk away and the ski bus picks up at the door. The hotel is nice and centrally located and near a Spar, Bila and coffee shops. There is a large supermarket and main bus stop is right behind. Also for kids there is the local swimming pool just a minute walk away from the hotel which was a big hit with the kids on the holiday as it had an outdoor heated pool as well as heated indoor pool and slides and diving boards. There is a nice quiet bar downstairs also which was nice if you would like to have a nightcap. The hotel provides you with the St johann card which gives you free travel on local buses and local "slow" trains. St Johann also has a train station that will bring you to Kitzbuel and zell am zee etc.

Our experience with this hotel is very positive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sometimes apologizing if there is no table immediately available at breakfast. The buffet breakfast is included by the way and the variation of food abundant. We also had dinner once and you could see that this restaurant has a good reputation, because most of the guests were locals, who would know what to choose. The dinner was tasty and diligently arranged. The rooms have been modernized with boutique style bathroom. Cupboards and bed full of led lights. Some minor comments: you cannot adjust the temperature in the room. It was too warm and we had to sleep with the windows open ( in the winter!). And the pillow was too soft and small.

Dear Mihata44, Thank you for your kind review of our hotel. We really appreciate your concerns. We are very sorry that it was too hot in your room. Our staff at the reception would have gladly helped you and would have turned the heat down of the floor heating. However, thank you for your really nice words about our restaurant and our always motivated staff. We would love to welcome you again soon in our hotel and wish you all the best. Best regards from St. Johann, The Bruggwirt Team

My name is Anastasia, and I’m a world traveler. Visiting over 10 different countries per year and staying in a different hotels I must say that Bruggwirt hotel is one of the best places I ever been! Very nice style of the hotel, very classic and traditional. Everyone who work in a hotel trying to make your holidays unforgettable by always smiling, wishing you a good day, suggesting places to visit, helping with any issues you have! Great people with amazing attitude to work. Another important point - food at hotel. It’s more than amazing! Seriously... I could give a Michelin star to a chef. I would definitely suggest you to have dinner at hotel as its outstanding. Great choice of vegetables, salats, very delicious soups, great choice of main courses that includes meat, fish and vegetables (Incase you are vegetarian). Portions are very big and quality of food is very high. You can feel that every dish made with love as its very nicely decorated. Another point - deserts! Omg! They are incredible! Soooo yummy!!!! Location of the hotel is also great. It’s very close to station and anything you need located in a walk distance. Me and my family had an amazing holidays and for sure we will be back! I highly recommend you to book this hotel if you want to have an amazing time! P.S. we were leaving at 3am because we had early morning flight, manager of the hotel gave us a bag with some lunch that we could eat in a plane. ( how cute it is!) thank you thank you thank you! Austria is Love. With warm Regards and best Christmas Wishes! xxx Anastasia
