We had stayed at the Gletscherblick before but this was our first overseas trip since the pandemic started. It really lived up to expectations. The hotel is incredibly friendly - run by 3 generations of a family. Before our trip we were able to have regular discussions with them (always answered fast) about things like testing in resort, and we also changed the booking once as a result of UK and Austrian restrictions. The location is good. It's not in the centre of St Anton, but in the linked and very pretty village of St Jakob - either a 30 minute walk, or a 10 minute (one per hour) bus (very reliable). We were arriving and leaving from the station at St Anton, and the owner insisted on meeting us and taking us back for our train. The hotel is really comfortable. We stayed in the Turmsuite, which is highly recommended, but all rooms have great views. The restaurant is great - dinner consists of 5 courses with choice in 2 of them, and always something non-meaty. The food is top gourmet standard, and the service in both the restaurant and bar is very good. The spa area is one of the best we have experienced, with 2 saunas, 2 steambaths and a good relaxation area. It's always hard to know if things will be rally relaxing in this time of Covid, but here they were. You have to show a vaccination certificate on arrival (as at all hospitality in Austria). But once you've done that you don't have to wear a mask and everything is normal. they have taken away the buffets for salad and for breakfast, but replaced them with a really nice prepared salad, and a daily-changing breakfast special along with the opportunity to order everything a la carte for breakfast. We had a great time, and thoroughly recommend the Gletscherblick for a summer holiday.

Dear All, Thank you so much for your kind hospitality ! You are true angels for making my holiday as great as it could get. Delicious diners every night with an amazing friendly staff to help us to give anything we wanted. The service I got when I could not ski anymore because of my knee injury made me feel that i was really taken well care of. You refunded my skipass and went with me to the ski outfit rental to get my money back. What a fantastic service ! Whenever I come back to the region I will definitely choose again for your hotel : what a fantastic experience ! Best regards, Brecht Lambert Gent, Belgium.
