We had a fantastic ski trip staying at Hotel Waldhof. The apartment we stayed is was perfect - amazing pools, sauna’s, super friendly staff and great food. The skiing in the area is also great - lots of resorts nearby. We are booked to go back again at Christmas we enjoyed it so much.

We spent 4 nights at the Waldhof with a large group. Unfortunately, we were all disappointed. The apartments were spacious, and the outdoor pool is nice. The rest of the experience was far below 4-star standards. The manager was unfriendly and clearly expressed her annoyance when there were any special needs or requests. There was no feeling of welcome or hospitality. The facilities are dated. There are no shower curtains on the showers, so there is no way to shower without getting the whole bathroom wet. But the most difficult of all was the cuisine. The food was terrible. One night was a pasta buffet that my 10-year old daughter would have done a better job with (and that she wouldn't even eat from!) - dried out cubes of lasagne, 3 different kinds of pasta covered in oil in the steam table next to 3 unappetizing sauces. Not what I would expect as a main course from a 4-star hotel, or even a 3-star hotel for that matter. There was a salad buffet every night as a first course, and it had about the same level of food and variety as in a super market buffet. Two nights the kids' menu was fried foods straight from the freezer, with no veg - nuggets, fish sticks, 'smiley' potatoes. And ice cream every night for dessert for the kids. Having said that, the adults' desserts weren't much better! The breakfast buffet was also limited and rather depressing. I am sorry to say, but because of the sour service and not feeling made welcome, together with the terrible food, we will not be returning.

In general the stay was ok. Please be aware that WiFi is not working as promised. The bandwidth of 1Mbps is at 40-48% capacity and makes your internet access barely possible. Also, no shampoo in the shower. No drinking glasses in the room. Other then that - all good. Special recognition goes to servers in the canteen. Inessa was great!

Don't bother. Located on a busy main road. Hotel very hot. Can't open window due to noise from the road. Room (Jnr Suite) not as advertised online on booking websites. Wifi breaks every min. Poor quality breakfast and no waiters around. no bathrobe, no slippers, no tea/coffe or water in the room. 2-3 star in reality. Their idea of customer service is sarcasm and laughing and arguing with their guests. Don't bother. restaurant for dinner ok-ish.

Ample parking big room and nice pool. The light bulbs never exceed 30w so all is dim. Supposed to be 4 star but the orange juice at breakfast is cheap fake, you are charged for a simple glass of tapwater and again if you want to use the pool. Wifi barely works. Why not charge us for the heating too? And the view?

Three of us stayed here for the Radmarathon, we booked late which is why we ended up in Oetz but can't complain. Hotel staff were great and there is a bike/ski room in the basement with a separate entrance from the car park. Great sized room with double bed, sofa and plenty of space, no air conditioning but not really an issue. Dinner was typical Alpine fare and good, breakfast was a buffet and nice, lovely fresh bread and the usual ham, cheese, etc. It has lots more facilities than we had time to use like the spa, I'd have no problem booking here again.

We spent 4 nights 2 parents with 2 children (14, 6). We got 2 large bedrooms, quiet apartment with balconies and view to the forest. Breakfast was very good. We also had dinner a la carte three times, since it was so good! Highly recommended even if you don't stay there! If you stay I would consider taking HB. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very good for children - small warm indoor pool (which we used everyday), play room and playground. Good location in beautiful Oetstal area, close to many activities and sightseeing.

The hotel is located in Oetz / Habichen, close to the pitoresque landscape of the Piburger lake. It takes a 15 min. walk to the beautiful lake. The hotel offers good quality food and the staff is quite friendly. Unfortunately the hotel is frequented by bus tours with tourists aiming for an "all inclusive" or "all you can eat" experience. Those guys make a lot of noise during the day and the night... and there is a disco / bar on the ground floor. We had our room on the third floor and we could hear the sound of the disco more than well. During the day the main road in front ofe hotel is also very noisy, it is the well frequented alpine road to Timmelsjoch. So don´t forget your ear plugs when you go there... Take your hiking shoes or MTB with you - then you can visit the Piburger lake and enjoy the beautiful landscape and quietness you are probably aiming fro when visitig the Oetztal.

Booked this hotel for 3 nights for some snowboarding in Kuhtai (30 minutes drive). The rooms were big enough , kitchen was fully equipped , bathroom and wc were separate and the wc room was not ventilated good enough (ouch). I did not find it as clean as I would like , found 2 spiders I had to kill before sleeping in there as well as spiderweb in each corner of my bedroom. The beds were comfortable and everything else was ok. Did not wake up in time for breakfast. The wi-fi signal was not powerful enough to work in my room (corner room).

We stayed during Christmas and New Year Eve in double room apartment. Bauman family is very friendly and helpful making our stay really enjoyable. Outstanding quality of the restaurant staff. Great place for those who want to be close to the heart of aper-skiing entertainment, but also quiet for those who want to rest. Clean rooms, tasty food in the restaurant, very nice bar makes this place a good choice for a reasonable price. Kids club and swimming pool made our 9 years old boys very busy on evenings. Washing machine and drying machine for guest usage (coin costs 4euro) , so you can limit number of t-shirts to take with. Close distance to gondola (500 m) and about 29 km to Soelden (25 min drive). The only negative is poor wifi and very slow internet. Hopefully will be fixed by owners in the nearest future. We definitely plan to go there again.
