The food was mixed, some nights were excellent the farmers buffet being one of them. But there were a mixture of flavours for some of the meals that were a bit strange on the palate. Swimming pool is a great asset, and lovely at the end of the day. If you want a cooked breakfast, you must ask and it...

Arrived at Hotel Austria early afternoon on New Years Eve. We were welcomed to the hotel by the owners & their friendly staff. We had a beautiful 8 course Gala Dinner in the evening, we decided to have the wine selection on offer for each course at €37 each, we were topped up during the different wines offered during each...

We have just returned from a Christmas ski trip with our two boys. The hotel is very Austrian, full of charm and a very warm welcome. The food was gorgeous and plentiful, with 6 delicious courses every night your salopettes won't get looser by the end of the week, despite all the skiing you've done!! The spa facilities are fabulous,...

The location of the hotel proved to better than we imagined. A level walk of 20 Meters from the hotel to then ski right down to the Obergurgl gondola, or if heading for Hochgurgl go left to ski down to catch the bus. We stayed in the annex which was ok. There was some late night disturbance from the ice...

All the hotel staff including those at the front desk, the bar, the dining area and the lady who cleaned my room were very welcoming, polite and friendly. The large room had a great view of the ski hill and was always clean and warm. In front of the hotel is an ice rink and you can hire skates from...

It is a great place to stay, we came to Obergurgl to be sure of snow, and it was a good decision. My wife and I stayed here in January – February, travelling with Crystal. We both enjoyed our stay and found Hotel Austria to be a great venue to relax with good access to ski slopes. Our room was...

We stayed at the Hotel Bellevue ( sister Hotel of the Austria) connected via underground passage. We had a very nice time at the Hotel. We were able to ski in/out very close to the Hotel which was well positioned for the ski school down the slope. The guests at the hotel were very nice and we enjoyed discussing the...

We have just very much enjoyed our 8th year staying at this hotel. Again we stayed in the Steiner residence which is very handy for the slopes. The Steiner family greeted us warmly when we arrived. The food was excellent as always and plenty of variety. We made good use of the indoor and outdoor pools. We had lovely weather...

This was my third visit to Obergurgl. It is the highest parish in Europe and the slopes are snow sure for a holiday in April. Just returned from a week stay in this lovely, family run hotel. From the welcome on our arrival all of the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was fantastic, my fave was the...
