The restaurant is very modern and nicely decorated, we hadn't booked so asked for a table for myself and my mate we were shown straight to a nice table which was great start. staff are dressed traditionally, the hotel guest are separated from...

I have stayed in Niederau (in the Wildschonau valley) many times during the last twenty years but this was the first time that I have stayed at Der Wastlhof. It's easy to describe my stay; It was relaxed, individual and exceeded my expectations! Service, rooms, facilities, food quality, staff, attitude, attention to detail, location, cleanliness, friendliness - all above reproach,...

We booked the smallest room, Alpenrose, which was very basic and smaller and darker than on the website. The hotel gave us a Visitor Card with which we could use the cable car for free. The Markbachjoch cable car is within walking distance, with lovely views and hiking paths. Afternoon cake was included in half board, but the coffee was...

We visited the Restaurant in the Hotel Wastlhof as non-residents of the hotel. As mentioned in other reviews the residents and the non residents restaurants are separate. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and whilst not a typically old fashioned Tyrollean restaurant you still definitely feel that you are in Austria. We visited during the Wildschönau Krautinger Week. As such there...

We have just returned from a week at Der Wastlhof and cannot fault the hotel. The Edelweiss Room was large and comfortable with plenty of seating space, bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle, with separate WC. Everywhere was clean and the food was excellent. The hotel was very quiet when we arrived but this did not affect the quality...

The rooms are spacious and clean. The beds are good. You only have to cross the street to enter the skilift. Three buffets a day (breakfast, 'après-ski', and dinner). The buffet is really complete and varied. The food is of very good quality. Besides being the best hotel, Wastlhof also has the best restaurant (also for non hotel guests). In...
