The staff were so welcoming when I arrived for my 4 nights. I was shown to my room and my luggage was bought up separately as they have no lift. I was given a lovely traditional twin room with balcony even though i had only booked a single. The restaurant food and waitresses were excellant. The weather was mixed but...

Just returned from a lovely holiday at the hotel Zur Post. The hotel was a traditional Tyrolean hotel right in the centre of Alpbach. The staff were all very warm and welcoming.Food in the restaurant was good but the main course needs more choice. The bar was busy most nights with smoking allowed.(A ban on smoking is being introduced in the next year...

Have just returned from spending a week at this very welcoming hotel and would recommend staying here. It only has 20 rooms and we were so looked after by all the staff and so nice to get to know the other guests and at mealtimes being able to chat to others about their day. The hotel is nicely decorated and...

This is a lovely traditional Tirolean hotel. The staff are generally very good and the whole place clean and tidy. Real shame that the rooms do not have a safe. There is a choice of only two main dishes in the evenings. My wife has a cheese allergy and one evening both main courses contained cheese. If you are a...

We stayed several days at this lovely and welcoming family-run hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Our second-floor room (no lift) had a beautiful view over the Alpbach valley and the mountains beyond. Furnished in Tyrolean-style (carved pine), the room had a four-poster bed, ample cupboard space (though no fridge) and a small balcony. The room and the ensuite shower...

The Hotel Post is a good choice to stay in Alpach, convenient for all the town activity, restaurants and shops. It is the best placed hotel in Alpbach for access to the morning ski busses, being just meters away from the bus stops. Nice and easy to roll out of bed, have breakfast, grab your ski stuff and go! For...

We visited Alpbach for the second time in July staying here for the first time. Our first impression the hotel is very clean, our room was at the front on the second floor with fantastic views. The staff are all very friendly and all spoke far better English than our feeble German. The food is generally very good with a...

Rather disappointed with hotel after a return visit. The location is beautiful and the rooms are large and bright but the service and food was below average. When we arrived the lady on the desk was more interested in answering the phone than welcoming us as returning guests. We had booked half board and the first night the choice was...

As a regular visitor to Alpbach we hadn't eaten there for many years but was pleasantly surprised this year when we met up with some old friends for dinner. Food and service were excellent with a comprehensive menu of traditional Tyrolean favourites. Now one of the best restaurants in the village.
