We spent ten amazing days in Zell am See and it,s sourrandings living in Seevilla Freiberg hotel on the HB Ibasis.Hotel has excellent position on the lake.We were very satisfied with the quality of food, staff was proffesional and friendly,The superior room was spacious enough and daily well maintained,The view on the lake and mouintains was superb, especially if you have room on the upper floor. With Zell am See card, which you get for free at the reception, you have free acsess to cable cars, boat trips, zoo park etc. and many discounts. The only complain is the lack of parking places in front of he hotel. It is a pity, that hotel owners didn,t solve this problem , which is lasting years, as the managin director told us. Nervous searching of parking place really spoils othervise wonderfull expirience to spend days in this hotel.…
Visited the hotel with girlfriends on a long weekend ski break. The hotel is wonderfully situated with lake views at every window. We had a twin room, with a separate shower and toilet. There was a lot of additional furniture in the room, including a desk and chair. We did a bit of furniture removal with the help of housekeeping and made the room perfect for two of us sharing. Towels and sheets where changed on the 3rd day. Buffet breakfast with hot and cold options set us up for the days skiing. A free shuttle to the closest lift (it’s not far but all uphill so don’t try it in ski boots) went every 30 mins in the morning. Dinner options are chosen in the morning, with 3 courses and a salad bar. On Sunday night there was a buffet style dinner, with lots of variety. They don’t offer a post ski hot drink or cake as some hotels do. There was soup on offer. However there is a well stocked tea/coffee station in the room and lots of places to buy snacks from as you come back to the hotel. The spa and fitness area was in the basement but again overlooking the glorious lake vista. Swimsuits are optional in the steam/sauna so may not suit us reserved Brits! The ski area is fantastic and we where blessed with fresh snow each day and all 3 ski areas can be accessed from the shuttle bus drop off. …
Stayed here for a 4 night skiing break with friends. The hotel is in a great location right by the lake, a few minutes walk to the town. The room was fine, twin beds (2 blokes sharing!). Separate toilet and shower. It was comfortable and practical. Food was good, especially the 4 course dinner, which was really good to be fair. The staff were friendly, especially the lovely lady on reception in the evening who gave us loads of really great advice, booked our free hotel transfer to the centre of town each day, and even sorted us a packed lunch for our return journey. Skiing was great, you can use all three resorts. Zell am See was good, Saalbach was huge, we found the snow best at Kaprun though. Would recommend the hotel and the resort
Visited for a 4 night stay with friends. A really lovely hotel, a short walk outside of Zell Am See town. A very large room with a beautiful view of the lake. Excellent service throughout the hotel. Staff were all very friendly & attentive. Breakfast was very good. Evening meal was 4 course every night and was lovely. Highly recommend.
We were actually surprised with the nice location on the lake and views from this hotel. We had a panorama suite that was quite spacious, comfortable and had a nice private deck and balcony. For some reason we both were allergic to something in the room...either all the wood or a cleaning product they used.As soon as we left the room we felt fine. All the staff were friendly enough and the breakfast choices were basic at best. The walk back and forth from town along the lake was truly enjoyable with the magical scenery For the price and location I would recommend a visit
