As I recall the slope near to the hotel is a red run and got a bit slushy when we were there in February and because of this was a little tricky on the lower parts. But the run is ok for intermediate skiers and more so with good snowfall & cold. (On the other side is a black run back into the resort which is difficult for intermediates but you are not referring to this.)
