Location is great, easy walk to the lake, ski lift or ski buses.
Staff are excellent, helpful, friendly, good English
Clean and tidy everywhere and in good decorative order
Bedroom a good size, big windows, bed very comfy
And the food is fantastic: great choice from three options, high quality of ingredients, skilled cooking and good portions for dinner, plus a wonderful wide choice of options for breakfast (meals part of the package with Crystal Ski)

Minor quibbles:
Drinks, particularly soft drinks, seemed slightly more expensive than elsewhere
No tea/coffee facility in the room
Underfloor heating, so if you like to sleep in a cool room it can be a bit hot and you have to open the window. They hotel did adjust the temperature down for us when asked but the room was clearly well insulated so some (pretty cold) air needed to be let in. But see what the hotel can do first (and I think some premium rooms have temperature controls from what some people said)
Location is central so some noise outside. But with Austrian bars and restaurants shutting down at 10 due to Covid it was not a problem for us. In a normal ski season with bars open to the early hours it might be an issue if you need the window open to sleep.

Stayed here as part of a hiking trip in the region. Hotel managed all aspects of our accommodation and baggage transfers seamlessly. Our rooms were large and comfortable. We opted in for breakfast and dinners at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was extensive. We were impressed with the evening meal which was always varied, a few options and very well presented. The hotel is well located and easy access to the bus station which we needed for local transfers and we were able to comfortable walk to and from the train station with our rolling suitcases. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Although my wife didn’t make breakfast with me, the hotel charged it as of sitting with me and drinking caffe, when I explained it the Lady at the frontdesk told me that she wouldn’t know the truth. So my words was not enough for the hotel. However every other thing you may consider while you decide on a hotel are very satisfying; location, rooms, the staff price they are all above the level.

Booked this hotel at the last minute as part of a package with Crystal. The location is on the main road through Zell, so expect some traffic noise if you have the windows open. But it is perfectly located for the ski lift and for the buses to Kaprun, Saalbach, etc. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the room though minimalist in style was spacious and comfortable. We were really impressed with the food - breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Although they’d not had any notice they catered well for our daughter who eats a vegan diet, not something we expected to be honest. We would definitely recommend.

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights and were completely satisfied. Nice and comforting personell, delicious meals, beautiful rooms. Wonderful breakfast which offers everything you could wish for. You can also order something that will be prepared freshly in the kitchen. The next beach is just around the corner and can be reached by foot or bike.

We had a great week at the hotel on our skiing holiday. The hotel is just a short walk from the main gondola, and right in the middle of town.
The food was great, the staff were fantastic and the dog was adorable.

We had a room at the front overlooking the street and the ski slopes. It was lively at night, but never enough to keep us awake, and the town quieted down pretty early on. It’s just well enough located to be central and great for apres ski and just far enough away from the big late bars to not be disturbed.

We played cards most nights in the lounge area by the bar and the bar staff ensured that we had a constant supply of wine and beer. The owners family spent a couple of nights in the bar and they were all lovely and really added to the atmosphere. We normally went to bed about midnight, and the staff never asked us to leave, or make us feel anything but welcome through the week, as opposed to a suggestion made in a couple of reviews.

The Gin Bar downstairs is another great bar with lots of atmosphere and no noticeable closing time and they also run a popular apres ski bar outside the hotel. If you don’t fancy the bars in the hotel there are a myriad of them with a five minute walk.

I took a large group to the Hotel Zum Hirschen on a Crystal Ski Package. Despite arriving quite late on a Saturday evening, the hotel staff went out of their way to serve us an excellent freshly cooked meal. The helpful receptionist even came in to the restaurant to give us our room keys and tell us about the hotel facilities and the manager was always on hand to check that everything was OK. Throughout our stay we found all the staff to be friendly and efficient. The bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated in traditional Austrian style. The food served in the restaurant wasn't typical Austrian fayre, and had more of an international theme to it. Although the main courses weren't that large, the soup starter and salad bar made sure you didn't go hungry. Breakfast was excellent with a hot and cold selection and omelettes available to order. The rooms were spacious and warm. The wellness suite was nice and usually quiet so you often had the sauna or pool to yourself after a day's skiing. The location of the hotel is ideal as its on the edge of the town's pedestrian zone providing quick access on foot to the bus station and City Express gondola. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

My friend and I stayed here for a week as part of a Crystal ski holiday. Excellent food (never went hungry), great room (we had a superior room) and lovely staff who were very helpful and friendly. Great location to at the start of the of the pedestrian area of the town, so easy walk to the bars, plus just over the road from the main bus stops for skiing at Kaprun or Saalbach, plus only 3-4 mins walk to the city express gondola. Would certainly recommend and come back

Stayed at this hotel last week for a family skiing holiday, we had fantastic stay, the rooms are clean and modern with comfortable beds. We stayed on a half board basis, the breakfast selection is vast, a full range of cereals, pastries, fruit, yoghurts, bacon, sausage, fresh scrambled eggs, breads, salad, cheese etc. The evening meal was of high quality, with a speciality soup and salad bar as a starter and an exceptionally well presented main course. If you don’t fancy any of the options you can always choose the schnitzel and fries as an alternative. Very good boot room with individual lockers for each room. There is a small swimming pool and sauna.
We were very well looked after by Steffanos, nothing was too much much trouble for him.
The city station gondola and Bründl ski shop are a five minute walk up the hill. I would definitely use this hotel again.

What a great hotel. We stayed here for a week in May (booked via TUI Lakes and Mountains) and everything was excellent. The staff are all very friendly, speak excellent English and were so nice to my young son.

The bedroom was very modern and the bathroom was excellent, even down to a panorama of Zell am See on the shower screen. The cleanliness was spotless and was refreshed on a daily basis.

There was a great range of breakfast buffet items, some of which changed daily. We ate in the restaurant twice and both nights were excellent, again with friendly service.

The location is spot-on - right on the edge of the old town centre, but a minute's walk from the central bus station and a couple of minutes from the City Xpress lift.

Could not have asked for a better hotel for the week. Thank you.
