Large airy room overlooking lake, wonderful views of lake and surrounding area. Room very clean, clean towels and bedlinen daily and a wonderful ,cheerful maid. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious, dinner was tasty, wholesome and with plenty of choice. Staff were helpful and friendly, couldn,t do enough to help. The icing on the cake was the wall to wall sunshine for...

We've been coming to Billroth annually for the last nine years and it was always our very favorite hotel in Austria. I've given this hotel an excellent review in the past. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same anymore. Since their Manager, Peter and his wife, left two years ago, it has not been the same. The friendliness is gone, and...

We stayed here for 4 nights in August 2015. The hotel is beautifully situated on the lake with stunning views and great facilities. We were half board and the food menus were excellent (4 course dinner). Staff were attentive and polite throughout from reception to maids. There is a very short walk through the grounds to their pavillion and jetty...

We had 11 nights in this hotel. We paid extra for a lake view for us and the kids had a normal room. Staff were lovely and most spoke very good English. The extra for the lake view was worth it as the room view was stunning. The evening meal was good and contained local elements so sometimes not what...

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting Salzburg and the lakes. It was so lovely. What an amazing view we had of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The hotel was excellent. They have a boathouse with pedalos and you can swim in the lake too. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

Just returned from a 10 day holiday in St Gilgen. We have visited the Wolfgangsee before but this was our first time in St Gilgen and at the Billroth. We travelled on a package but upgraded our room directly with the hotel and had no problems dealing with the hotel. This was a precursor to an excellent stay. Daniela and...

We have just returned from 10 nights at the Billroth and had the most wonderful time. The hotel is perfect and we had a top floor room overlooking the lake, which was excellent. The room was huge, very clean and comfortable with a large bathroom with shower. The hotel is set in gorgeous gardens and the boathouse is excellent with...

This is a lovely hotel set in an almost perfect location for exploring the area around Lake Wolfgang. The staff are superb and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms and facilities are excellent. The dining room, while having fantastic lake views, was a bit staid and could do with some low volume background music. Other...

Wonderful hotel in classic style. Beautiful landscape surrounding the building, originally owned by Dr. Billroth. Rooms are spacious and clean. Huge garden (park) with walkpaths. Own boathouse by the lakeside. Young director Daniella, so skilled and serviceminded. 10 mins walk to village St. Gilgen. Small cafes and quai for the boat that goes regularly around St. Wolfgangsee. You will enjoy...

Stayed here for a couple of nights while my husband attended a conference here. Beautiful location over looking Wolfgangsee and set in a lovely garden. We had a spacious, clean, bright room with ensuite bathroom (bath, separate shower and toilet), small seating area, desk and small balcony, tea making facilities in the room as well. (Some of the other rooms...
