It is a bit out of the way, but right on the lake and the restaurant is excellent. We had slightly cold weather so the water was freezing, but it has nice amenities, with possibilities to rent bikes, boats, etc. If you're looking for a nice quiet place far from a city, it's the place. Staff are very helpful and...

We stayed in july last year, and the moment we rounded the hill and reached the place, it was magical. This was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places we have stayed. and we were tempted to extend our stay by more days. the staff is very very friendly, food is awesome and the place in itself is heavenly. all...

Fürberg is a hidden gem with the most beautiful hosts. The stay is homely and very comfortable. The breakfast is tasty and the dinners are worth it. The chef is a superstar. Must stay. Can't go wrong.

This great hideaway is one of the well kept secrets from local Salzburg Festspiele community, no noise from a street, crystal clear water direct in front of the hotel, no crazy tourist masses and one of the most beautiful lakes in Austria just in front! This is not a upscale spa resort, so please do not expect high level five...

The Gasthof Furburg is tranquil and relaxing with a perfectly stunning view of the lake, Wolfgangsee, and surrounding mountains. It is an old family owned and run hotel with a very popular lakeside restaurant as well. It is a small resort, with its own lake ferry stop in front, a canoe and paddleboats, extremely comfortable wooden loungechairs from which to...

Beautiful lunch and refreshments outside by the Wolfgangsee at the Gasthof Furberg. The waiter kindly gave us some recommendations as to what to have and it was delicious! Definitely worth a visit if you are out walking (as we were) or hopping on and off the water boats. Staff all very friendly and a good spot for families!

Wonderfully appointed hotel set by the lake and in a location all on its own, about 800 metres from St Gilgen. If you seek peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. Excellent service. Well appointed rooms. Great attention to detail (see branded bath robes and towels and soap dispensers). Breakfast buffet hugely extensive and very satisfying. We didn't...

Half of us walked from St Wolfgang over the mountain and the other half from St Gilgen around the lake, so we felt we deserved our lunch - and it was gorgeous Wonderful food, wonderful staff, wonderful view, well worth the boat trip or walk. Didn't stay in the hotel but it looked lovely. Definitely worth a trip for the...

We arrived at 4:30pm and so caught the end of their lunch menu and start of evening. This was perfect because we got the relatively simple lunch fare for first course and full-on gastronomic desserts! The food was very good and most service great. Our 'main' waiter was cheerful, friendly and helpful. Some of the others (bringing dishes/clearing) seemed grumpy...
