Excellent hotel for a stay in the Alps. This was our fourth stay at the hotel and it has always been very good. Nice and attentive staff. Excellent cuisine. Very nice pool area outside for both summer and winter and relaxing wellness area inside. Good for the kids with the kids club and game room.
The hotel facilities are beautiful. We especially enjoyed the outdoor and indoor swimming pool and spa. Plenty of comfortable seating area in the garden. The hotel is immaculate and the staff were extremely hard working and very friendly. The food was beautifully presented every morning and evening. Please check with the hotel in advance as the menu did not suit all of our families requirements as far as taste and choice. A great location for walking, cycling and taking in the beautiful landscape.
Very clean cosy room with balcony overlooking gardens, pond and beautiful wooded hillside. Plenty of food choices based on local organic produce, we enjoyed all our meals very much. We loved sitting in the tastefully presented communal areas for afternoon tea. Just on edge of Hinterglemm with bus stop immediately outside hotel for easy local transport. Staff very attentive, polite and pleasant. We used the indoor and outdoor swimming facilities including the natural swimming pond. There is of course outstanding walking and biking on the doorstep. We would recommend the hotel without hesitation
I had an amazing time in Saalbach-Hinterglemm and the Hotel played an important role. The view is amazing and very easy connections everywhere. Regarding the room, it had everything anyone could ask, big, very clean and very confortable. In terms of meals, the Hotel has a great variety of options by breakfast and snack time in the middle of the afternoon. For dinner you had a complet set of options and the food it self was very delicious. Besides, the Hotel offers 2 swimming pools and a small lake for you to swim, SPA and a lot of activities available as football, tenis table, and table football. At last, the staff was very nice and always there to help with anything. Overall, the saty was very pleasant and I´m happy to recommend this to anyone who is looking for the best stay possible in the middle of the Austrian Alps.…
We spent 4 days in Theresia Gartenhotel, and it was so great! Super location, super food and clean all over. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. We have stayed in many different places in Austria but this is definitely our favourite.
We spent our Summer holidays for the second time in the Theresia Gartenhotel because the first experience was so great! Super location, super service, super food and rooms! We were welcomed and supported by a very experienced and helpful team which catered to all our needs. We were really pampered! Highly recommended!
A long awaited return visit to our favourite hotel! Holiday delayed for 3 years due to the pandemic, so delighted that we finally made it back to this wonderful place. Being a family owned hotel you are always made to feel very welcome and it was lovely returning to see familiar faces - both owners and staff. The hotel was as good as always. Food is superb. Delicious breakfast buffet where my favourite Bircher Muesli thankfully still features, and wonderful evening meal with plenty of choices. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. We have stayed in many different places in Austria but this is definitely our favourite. The hotel is in a wonderful situation for exploring the local area where there is plenty to see and do. Hoping to arrange our next visit soon!!
This is primarily a winter resort/hotel but its location is well suited to Summer guests, however the rooms and especially the gardens need some TLC. During the winter months the gardens and pool area are obviously not used compared with Summer. They have therefore been left unkempt for a number of years if you compare now with photos on web. These must be over 5 yrs old as pool area looks well maintained and free from overhanging foliage which is not the case. Adjoining ponds are dirty, weedy and stagnant. They attract a variety of flying insects which bite!. Bedrooms are in need of update especially bathrooms. Badly situated shower attachment causes water to flood onto floors!. Meals are mainly aimed at Vegans / Vegetarians which was not advertised when we booked. Don't forget us carnivores. Breakfasts were samey (unchanged over 7 days) Also we were not aware that pets were allowed until the barking whilst we were having our evening meal. Spoilt the ambience. Not utilising the communal / bar areas which were dead and boring. This may seem like a scathing review, however the hotel has a lot to offer and is ideally situated to take advantage of lifts and buses (free with Joker Card). Hotel is trying too hard to cater for every kind of traveller and has lost some of its identity of being a boutique style hotel.…
A fantastic family-run hotel with a cosy feel. I enjoyed the facilities thoroughly - indoor pool when there were too many insects hovering at the outdoor pool. Lovely selection of clean and quality saunas including adult only area. Great selection of breakfast and we enjoyed the organic dinner on most days. Also good kids activities including a pizza party that our kids 11+13 enjoyed thoroughly with the friendly and enthusiastic staff. The attentive staff were great at suggesting hiking routes, rainy weather activities and organizing a birthday surprise for our 11 year old daughter. Our dog also felt very welcome in this hotel with a rug, bowl and organic treats presented to her upon our arrival. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a convenient base to enjoy Saalbach Hinterglemm.…
Have just returned from a skiing holiday at Theresia Gartenhotel. Our 20th time staying at this hotel. A wonderful family experience and also great for couples. Extremely friendly, accommodating staff. Superb facilities and excellent food. Once we found this hotel, we never really tried anywhere else, particularly as our children love it so much. We look forward to many more holidays at Hotel Theresia
