First of all. I was allowed to check-in at 23. Due to some delays at the airport I arrived at the hotel just past midnight. I called an let them know of my delay, no problem. I still got served my meal in the middle of the night when I got there. Really friendly staff. The owner speaks English very well.
The food was average, but nothing negative in that regard. You get what you pay for. Could perhaps wish for a little more orange juice, than the glass you get served. But I did not ask for it.
Rooms a little old, but I actually quite like the old Austrian style. Bed comfortable and freshly made when I got back from skiing. Room well heated. Shower a bit small, but it did it's work.
Skiroom in the cellar. A bit small, but does it's work. (I don't use the heaters for my boots, I bring them to my room.)
A bit of noise from the other guests.

I would come back gain :)

We didn't pay very much for this hotel so we expected very little, but in fact it was more then I hoped for.
This hotel is the typical Austrian hotel, a sort of 70's style interior with a lot of dark wood.
There is no 24/7 reception, sauna, pool or any other fancy stuff that I do not use when I go for a skiing and drinking holiday.
But there is a nice bed, a (very) hot shower, a decent meal (don't expect foie gras) and clean rooms.
But the best part is that all of these are within crawling distance of the best apres-ski bars and just a 3 minute walk to the ski lift.
The hotel lady seemed a bit grumpy in the beginning but we were given a warm welcome when we came back from skiing later that day. She even washed my clothes when they got dirty and got it back the same evening. The hotel staff is friendly and always ready to help you.
So this is just an average hotel, but for a budget price on a luxury location so that makes it a bargain.
I can only recommend this hotel to people who don't really care about fancy stuff, and just want a nice place to sleep, eat and clean up for a decent price.

Is exactly what this place is... Except for the desk staff member who is anything but. Cross her at your peril and certainly don't ask for anything from her! Guests appear to be a hinderence rather than something to be welcomed.

Don’t book. Noisy rooms, tired decor. Food I wouldnt feed to a school trip. The only reason to stay is it is next to the lift. We have just had the worst new year eve meal I have ever had. The 4 courses were soup, a piece of toast with 2 mushrooms only given to one of us. A small main of broccoli with a cheese sauce and a tiny dessert. No welcome drink. No extra fuss for NYE. All we were told was to pay our bill. We are on the top floor in a cold room which the radiators cannot be changed and you can hear everything in the roads. We were not fussy people, but come on Neison this is taking the mick. You are ripping us off. Do not stay here.

Central to Hinterglemm, close to 2 gondolas, containing the oldest bar there, this is a small family-run hotel where the watchword is service. It's not smart or modern, but it is clean and warm, the beds and bedding are great, and the people who work there are hard-working, well organised and make you feel very much at home. They catered very sensitively to our vegetarianism- no choice at mealtimes (except breakfast) but good filling meals well presented. Heated boot-room too. I'd go again.

Hotel is situated in the center in Hinterglemm right opposite the gondala Reiterkogelbahn it's not ski on/off but its very close. It has a ski room to hold all your equipment which was very useful.

More of a pension than a hotel we has a room on the 3rd floor at the front without a balcony. There is no lift so don't get too tired on the slopes. The room was a nice size, (we heared the rooms on the back wtih the baloconies were bigger) TV was availalbe but there are no english channels so you'll have to brush up your Austrian. The room was clean and warm, the daily clean included a towel change on request. The bathroom lacked a bath which was a shame but there was plenty of boiling hot water which was very welcome after a long day on the slopes.
The decor is plain and simple and a little tired around the edges but it doesn't seem to detract from its charm.

We found the hotel quiet and there was no Apres Ski witihin ear shot. However this wasn't the case for the people on the other side of the hotel were there is one very noisey venue that kept them awake. So I guess you get the big room with the balcony and some noise or the quiet smaller room.

We found it all very nice and had no compliants.

Breakfast was plentiful and varied continetal buffet breakfast. Nice cured meats and cheeses and lovely fresh bread. Plenty of coffee and tea.

Dinner was nice, mostly plain and occationally a little unusual. However considering what we paid (£370 pp 1/2 board through Neilsen) it was really very good.

One thing we didn't like was that it was a smoking hotel (in fact it seemed almost compulsory there were so many people smoking at breakfast) .

We were there for Xmas and they made a real effort for the day with sparkerlers on the trees and the owners mum greeting all the guests and a special meal.

Really its the hotels location was its best asset which couldn't be more central if it tried.

We had a great holiday and would certainly consider going back.

i stayed at the Hotel Reisinger for a weeks skiing holiday. It has a good central location for what i think is a superb ski resort. The hotel is a bit shabby but the beds were comfortable and the food OK. it's a shame there is no lounge area for guests. There is a bar called the 2 euro in the basement which sells the cheapest drinks in the resort meaning it does attract youngsters on school trips who may get a bit out of control on the cheap booze. The main problem for me with the hotel is that of noise form the surrounding clubs. The noise from music and drunken revellers goes on till about 5 in the morning and unless you have some good earplugs or you are going to be out drinking till those early hours yourself i would avoid staying there.

I am a seasoned traveller to Austria for skiing. I have stayed in many hotels but none as poor as this.

It’s tired, old, grubby in places.

The bathrooms had a very old shower. The shower head sent out a cone of water nothing in the middle. No shower gel for 2days then a very small bottle appeared. Threadbare towels and with holes in them. 2 very grubby plastic beakers.

Bedrooms were dark & dingy with 2 lights. Night time you needed a torch at the far end of the room.

Food was awful and Neilsons advertised this with hot and cold breakfast buffet. The hot buffet was a boiled egg. You got 2 breakfast rolls allocated some meat and cheese. A small glass of orange was pre placed on your table. You wanted another tough.

The evening meals were just awful. See photo. Green slime as a main, stringy pork, basic boiled potatoes I could go on. Quantities were minuscule. They made a real play on the New Years Gala dinner. Gala dinner you are having a laugh. 1 extra dish of 3 mushrooms on toast with some sauce. Half board and spent 4 nights eating out when I just got up and left it on the table

There were 2 bars saw them open once. When it was it had a locals smoking for the world and no extractor fans.

No ability to socialise with fellow guests.

The ski room was basic. No heating for boots.

I had to secure a power socket back on the wall.

All in all a reputational damaging place for Neilsons.

Stayed at the Reisinger for an early 2017 ski trip. Holiday booked through Neilsons- Rep Rob was friendly and accommodating and always on hand to assist with unexpected issues.

Hotel was cosy and clean, with traditional Austrian decor and bar in the cellar. Food was basic but pleasant enough.

Location is perfect for accessing slopes and ski bus but the town itself is quite small with limited activities is you're not into snow sports.

Would return to stay again.

This hotel is located in the center of the Hinterglemm, close to the shops, restaurants and ski lifts. Unfortunately, there is a popular club next door, open till late night, and there is a lot of noise coming from this club. The room was small and outdated - it was good enough to sleep, but not too much room to move around. The downside of this hotel is the food. The meals were simple and the food selection was very limited.
