Our third time here, great value, wonderful food, staff and management. Dead central for ski lifts etc and just THE BEST apres ski at the UnterSwarzach across the road. Mostly German or Dutch clientele but that forces us to use the kleine Deutsche we have, which is good!
Just returned from a great week's holiday in Hinterglemm, we stayed at the Hotel Alpenblick which is in a fantastic central location with great views across the mountains and the floodlit piste. Our room was a comfort room at the front of the hotel, the room was spacious, clean and well furnished. Food was plentiful with good variety at each meal and the quality excellent. Apart from a choice of main course at dinner, there were special "buffets" during the week, all delicious. The staff are friendly, attentive, polite and willing to help, several speak good English, Dominica in particular, she was always cheerful and a delight to talk to. Looking forward to our next stay at this lovely hotel.
We stayed in Hotel Alpenblick in January 2013. It was the second time we stayed at Hotel Alpenblick. We chose to stay at the hotel again because of three things: A great location, very good food and friendly staff. The hotel is situated right next to one of the major lifts in Hinterglemm. This means that it only takes you about five minutes to get to the lift in the morning - and in the afternoon you can almost ski in (you just have to cross a road). The half board includes a nice breakfast, and a four course dinner (or a buffet - we had a traditional Pinzgauer buffet and an italian buffet during our week). The dishes are plentyful and you won't leave the restaurant hungry! The staff in general is very friendly - especially the nice lady in the restaurant (and we don't even know her name :-) ). Besides this the ski facilities are fine, the rooms are big, the view to the piste (especially at night) is great, the Spar supermarket and other shops are right across the street etc. I hope to stay at Hotel Alpenblick again and recommend it to others.…
We have stayed at least three times in Hotel Alpenblick for our annual ski week. Over the 15 years we have been going to Hinterglemm we have tried three other hotels and the Alpenblick is the best for us. The location is great - it is right opposite a ski school which is very handy for getting the little ones off in the morning. The service in the hotel is warm and very efficient. The food is standard Austrian fare, fresh and filling and plenty of it. The rooms are comfortable and unbeatable value. http://www.alpenblick.st/
We stayed at the Alpenblick for our annual ski holiday. Our initial impression was that it was a little quirky, the decor and surroundings are as you would imagine walking into someone's home, lots of pictures, artificial flower arrangements, ornaments etc. However once settled in we could not have been made more welcome. the staff are a huge asset to the hotel, the facilities are are many. Swimming pool, Spa treatments, Large games room, with Table football, Table Tennis, a communal room with Chess library, games and puzzles. A dining room over looking the wonderful scenery. A cosy bar run by ' Ernst' a most amusing character, where we enjoyed pre dinner drinks. Food is home made simple fare with starter main course dessert, and plenty of it. There is also a large terrace with seating which is a real sun trap over looking the mountains. The rooms vary in size and can accomodate families We had a wonderful holiday here and would definitely return. A number of guests we met had stayed previously. …
