We had a great time. Family of 3. The only downside is the sound of the bells and the deliveries early in the morning but you get used to it. The food is great and our waiter Adrian looked after us well. The quality of the drinks is great too with a variety of mocktails for my son. We made good use of the Joker card to use the cable cars and the bus as well as tennis and crazy golf. You really could spend nothing when there due to this. We went on a guided bike ride from the hotel that was great and just hard enough. We went on several guided walks with the tourist information which were a varying degrees of difficulty but all spectacular. Back to the hotel...the pool is beautiful and being in and out made it fun too. The beds are good and nice pillows too. We'd love to come back if we have the money.

Great food, accommodation and facilities. The staff are excellent and want everyone to enjoy their beautiful area and the hotel. Its not a huge hotel which we preferred as its more personal and there is no need for wrist bands for the inclusive food and drink as the staff know who is staying there. The food is really good; large choice of buffet breakfast, buffet mid day meal and a served 5 course dinner (3 served courses plus buffet soup and salad). The quality and service is excellent, be aware that the night menu is fixed with a choice of 3 main courses. They dealt well with my wife's Coeliac disease without a problem. The hotel provide brown bags at breakfast so you can take snacks out if you are away from the hotel at mid day. The hotel provide bikes and helmets FOC if you want to cycle. These are decent machines but not full suspension mountain bikes if you fancy real mountain biking. Also provided is the joker card, which means no charge for the ski lifts and the bus into Zell am Zee. The majority of the rooms are excellent but do check which ones you are getting. There are six attic rooms which are a bit lacking in light and haven't been recently renovated. They are clean and well kept but if you book one get a good price on it. The pool is heated and clean and well looked after; great after a morning in the hills. There are also six saunas however some are naked bathing which isn't for everyone.

We had again a great time in Saalbach and at the Alpinresort sport and spa. We went without our kids this time, but my oldest daughter is going back with her boyfriend in september, so that means they have really liked our stay here earlier also. Our juniorsuite was wonderful, the bed, bath and the view was great. The food is very good, and the employees nice and pleasant. I am sure we will go back again next year. The pool area is wonderful. The only thing I do not understand is the excessive ringing of the churchbell in the town, but that is not the hotels fault;)

What a fantastic hotel, the family room was very spacious, as our boys are aged 14 & 9 they had even put another single bed up so they didn't have to share, although the sofa bed was huge. There was plenty of room for all our clothes and equipment. The all-inclusive was fantastic, the staff were always on hand to offer you drinks and food, nothing apart from expensive champagne and whisky had to be paid for. The pool area is brilliant and we used it every day around 4pm just to ease off tired legs. When we were there the weather was quite hot so this made the ski-ing quite hard going as it became bumpy and slushy but there were plenty of ski areas to choose from. The nearest gondola to the hotel was the Schattberg express and every day we found a slightly quicker way to get there. If you don't use this gondola then the others are a bit of a walk uphill but it wasn't too bad. The hotel is at the bottom of the town so it is a bit quieter which is good. Due to the all-inclusive deal we ate at the hotel every night apart from one when we went on a Neilson activity (trip up the mountain on a piste basher with dinner and drinks at a restaurant, then sledding back down) this was great fun, but my youngest aged 9 struggled on his on sled so ended up on the back of ours which was much better. (it was a bit fast and dark for him) The kids loved playing the local game of hitting a hammer into a log (no health and safety here but great fun). Our son had his birthday whilst we were there and I ordered a cake for dinner. The staff (our waiter for the week was Charlie - what a star he is) were brilliant, they decorated the table, brought out the cake, sang to him and even left chocolates in the room with a card. They go that extra mile which is brilliant. We had drinks out a few times to catch a football game on TV and people are still allowed to smoke inside in bars so be warned if you have young children. All in all, a great hotel, good choice of ski-ing, fantastic food and drink, very comfortable beds and pillows, and brilliant swimming pool. I would definitely recommend this for families.
