Stayed with a group of friends in Jan ‘22 for a ski trip. The rooms we had were modern and spacious, benefitting from a double and single bed (which is good as not a fan of the Austrian twin). The hotel is family run and the owners were really nice and friendly, food and service were spot on and exactly what we wanted. There is a drag lift next door to the hotel so we were able to get easy access to that side of the mountain. Sauna etc all looked modern and new. Would definitely revisit and recommend to others.
We have been staying in this hotel for one week for mountainbiking and it was really phantastic. Rooms are perfect, service very, very friendly and meals are 5*. (Meat, fish and vegetarian) The hotel is in the middle of all trails and so perfect to stay.
6 of us stayed for one week skiing in January. Everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff were lovely. The food was great with lots of choice. Good size boot room with the bonus of going up a small set of stairs from the room straight to a t bar which gives you access to various gondolas to take you all over the mountain. We enjoyed our stay so much we will be booking again next year
This has been our 3rd stay at this wonderfully family run hotel. Why go somewhere else when everything is already perfect 😀. Light airy rooms, divine food and a T bar right next door which enables you to access the gondolas. Thank you for as always a fabulous stay Cara & Steve
We spent a week here in March 2019 on a skiing holiday with friends. We all thought the hotel was great and the food was excellent in terms of quality and variety. It is a fairly small (31 rooms) family run hotel. The staff were all friendly and the rooms and hotel in general were very clean. There is a room for storing your ski equipment. Good location in the village with a t-bar tow next door. There is also a ski bus just along the road. We would definitely stay here again.
Fantastic location, situated at a lower t-bar giving access to upper slopes. Spotlessly clean throughout. The food is top quality and there's plenty of it. Dinner consisted of a salad bar to begin, soup, main course, dessert and cheese board. Bread, cakes and fruit on offer at all times. Breakfast is buffet style and there's a late afternoon nosh, pasta, goulash and the like.. amazing! Room was spacious and cleaned daily. Can't fault the hotel in any way. Staff were very friendly.
Great Hotel in every way, food superb especially the buffet, location ski in ski out, clean and modern with great staff. The downside, smoking been allowed in bar and linked reception. Not acceptable at all.
We stayed at the Almrausch recently for a week and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast is from 7.30 am but on two occasions, we had to leave at 6.45 am. The owner got the kitchen staff to come in at 6.15 am and we were able to have cereals, bread and coffee. Dinner was excellent with a 4 course every night and a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian for the main dish. The quality and presentation were comparable to a high end restaurant! The hotel's location is very good - just 5 minutes walk from the bus 680 stop and with the Joker card in summer, it will take you to all the opened ski stations free of charge. The hotel is also very clean and has a large walk in shower. We would highly recommend this hotel if you like a clean environment, good location, quality food and friendly staff.…
We have just returned from this hotel after a week's skiing and were very pleased with this hotel. The rooms were very spacious (we had a front facing room without balcony) and looked after well. A very large walk in shower which was lovely and serviced well every day. We stayed half board and the food was lovely every night with a good choice of 3 or 4 mains each night which were picked at breakfast (pretty standard in Austria). Arrival night and 1 night mid week was buffet which was also very nice, I am not usually a fan of a buffet but had no complaints. The bar area is quite small however didn't cause an issue the week we stayed. Sometimes we chose to sit in the reception/ lounge area rather than the bar which was fine. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff in the hotel worked hard to make sure you have what you needed to make it an enjoyable stay. My only concern would be about the gentleman (who I believe owns the hotel) tended to like a drink and on one evening was rather rude when asked for a simple request of sports on TV. It wouldn't stop me staying here again but it did leave an impression. All in all a great hotel in a good location right next to a T-bar which gets you onto the slopes straight away. Would recommend …
