Hotel Hasenauer in Hinterglemm is one of the most renowned hotels in the famous ski-resort Saalbach-Hinterglemm. Combined with liasons with Leogang, Fieberbrunn and the latest to Zell am See the ski area has everything an experienced ski-fanatic would want. The same goes for staying @ Hasenauer; everything is there to enjoy and the location is excellent. The only thing that's not perfect has already been seen by the hotel management; it's interior is beginning to look out-dated. Especially the wellness area is not what you would expect as goes for some of the rooms as well as the restaurant in some way. In april the hotel closes for more than a half year and will re-open in complete make-over with fully updated in- and exterior. It will be top-of-the-line, I can assure you that these Austrians won't let anyting to coincidence! Schi-heil to Haseunauer!

In general the hotel is really good. Large rooms. Good cleaning. Nice beds. Proper bathrooms. A very nice wellness ans swimmingpool. Unfortunately a downside for me personally is that you could not sleep after sunrise, since some windows did not any curtains. And after the long season of hard work personel looked and showed tired. Bumping into tables and glasses and sometimes unfriendly faces as a result of tiredness. Altogether a very good hotel.

Hasenauer offers clean simple rooms, not only perfect during winter holidays, but in the summer this hotel also offers great accommodation. The breakfast and dinner are both fine and the dinner is variated alot. They try to make use of the local produce as much as possible. However i would've appreciated better parking space. The surroundings are really nice!

Family run hotel with outstanding breakfasts and dinners. Nice pool to chill after biking in Saalbach - Hinterglemm. Friendly & helpful people! Room was rather basic but included all I needed. And price includes Joker Card meaning free use of bikpark skilifts in the area.

We stayed this July for two nights at the "Hasenauer" and neither my wife nor I were impressed. Service felt well-intended but unprofessional, and struggled with the basics like tending a proper bar. Early afternoon, I asked for an iced coffee per the bar menu, and the girl tending the bar wasn't sure as she had never done it before. During breakfast, staff was equally challenged. No fried or scrambled eggs as the chef had left her station and needed to be called back two mornings in a row. Food selection while in theory not leaving much to be desired was not properly replenished, etc. Clearly, it was off-season, however, the management should decide to either have the hotel open or closed during the summer. If the latter, please run a professional operation. In addition, I didn't think that our room was up to 4-star standard. It felt cramped and the bathroom was tiny. Wifi was available, unfortunately not working in our room. For what was on offer, pricing felt a bit heavy. We would not go back.

Through a special arrangement the hotel was booked for our company colleagues and some network partners. The hotel is located right on the corner and is to be found immediately turning left from the tunnel. A charming warm hotel with nice and helpful people. Everything is within reach and several ski elevators are within 10 minutes walk. Every room has its different size and doesn't look similar to the other.

It is to recommend to order a room in the 3. House. You will find a right size of shower cabin and trendy design. Because of low season in December and therefore a few guest the atmosphere was nothing much. Additionally the bar in the basement was closed too, where we enjoyed a lot of fun in the past. But it is no fault of the hotel. If opened, you have to visit it. A little untrained staff in the restaurant, but in average the food was good. It is uncomfortable to go downstairs to the ski depot and open the door in the opposite direction - especially wearing skiboots and carry the ski. It is somehow to improve. Very good hotel location. Everywhere is near. We like to ski in Hinterglemm!

- A well run family Hotel with good access to main lifts, right outside the car free zone. The Hotel has reserved carport space. - Good food, good service and friendly personnel. Sauna facilities are very good. The out-door swimming pool is just perfect. We did not use any Wellness treatment. - Public internet connection could be better and you have to speak a few words of German. - The family atmosphere in the hotel makes you feel welcome! - I rated the rooms 'average', since I had to rate all other facilities as excellent. The Sleep quality could be better only because of the less comfortable cushions. this is of course a very personal opinion. The hotel is very quite overall.

This hotel does not appear to be available via UK tour operators so we booked it independantly as we had visited friends staying there the previous year and loved it. All staff were welcoming & friendly. The bar & restaurant staff spoke limited English but the receptionists were almost fluent. Rooms were lovely - double / twin bed, seating area with sofa, dressing area, safe, large bathroon with shower, large balcony and a good view of the bottom main slope underneath the gondola (it's also the night skiing slope). We had a sneak peak at our friends room which was a different layout but equally lovely. There is one bar & one restaurant plus a couple of other lounge areas. Food is fantastic! Always a good choice of breakfast items with chef on hand to cook omelettes etc to order. Dinner also offered lots of choice, generally a choice of 4 mains each night, not to mention a large salad bar, soups, desserts, cheeseboards - all of which you can help yourself to (mains are served at the table by waiting staff. Friday's meal was the best for me with the chefs theatre - choose your style of pasta, chef will toss it into a whole parmesan cheese (at least half a metre wide). add pesto & rocket leaves, then mix it together whilst scrapping off the insides of the parmesan into your food. Delicious!!! There is another bar underneath the hotel which is also open to non residents (separate entrance) and it's typically Austrian, lots of Umpah music, the hammer / nail game etc. Good atmosphere and you don't even have to leave your hotel to walk into town (which is only 100m down the road by the way). The wellness centre is a must after a days skiing - sauna, bio sauna, steam room, infra-red rooms. Make sure you go upstairs to the chill out room & test the water beds. Put on the headphones & you'll probably be asleep in a few minutes. So comfy & relaxing! There is also a beauty salon offering massages etc at an extra cost. There is an outside pool but unfortunately it was closed during our stay as it was too cold (-20 or below). This was a shame as I noticed other hotels had their outdoor pools open & they looked very inviting but that is the only negative I can say about this hotel. The ski room is accessible by swiping your room card so fairly secure. Ample room for your gear and nice to have warm boots to put on in the morning. I can't wait to return next year & would definitely recommend it - although I did think twice about writing a review and spreading the word about this gem of a hotel.

The best place for a family holiday. Rooms are excellent, cozy and smart furnished. Family Steger is extremely friendly and careful with all the guests. I would recomend this hotel for families with kids as it very close to the ski school and also the restaurant have kids menu with several choices. Definitely will return.
