We stayed in one of the appartments and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was in place in the appartment. Ski slope to the pension was open so we could ski up to the front door which was very nice! We will come again.

Very good small hotel. The room and all the facilities were very clean and worked fine. Having a sauna available after a long skiing day was just super. And the breakfast was very delicious too! Please notify that the place is not very close to any of the ski lifts. On another hand it's not either in the middle of the after ski action which in my opinion was a good thing.

Me, my partner and my family stayed at Pension Gabi over Christmas in 2013. We had booked 2 double rooms and while both were spotlessly clean and comfortable enough, the style and furniture was rather different. One of the rooms (ground floor) was large, had an extra bed/couch and was more modern – the bathroom especially was brand new, with floor heating. The other room, on the first floor, was much smaller, with more rustic (albeit new) furniture and an old (but clean) bathroom – this was the room I slept in and I must say that the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable (hard, which I normally like, but here it felt like the springs in the mattresses were poking me in the ribs). It was very quiet during the night, so even light-sleepers can sleep soundly. Both our rooms had flatscreen TVs and access to the terrace. Both rooms were warm enough, you could regulate the temperature with a thermostat, though the heating gets switched off automatically during the night, a setting you can't change. Wi-fi signal was better in one room than in the other, but the B&B offers TP-link boxes that you can plug in in your room, which made the wi-fi much better (deposit 30EUR for one of these, which you get back when you return the device). There was a “common room” with a kitchen in the house, including a fridge with cold beverages (which you could take and then pay at the end of your stay) and a water boiler to make water for tea etc., as well as basic plates and cutlery. The breakfasts were decent, offering a variety of cheeses and hams, jams, Nutella, honey, yogurt and fruit salad (though mostly with canned fruit), cereal, some fresh vegetables, cooked eggs. You could get various kinds of coffee, tea, hot chocolate... The B&B has a secure, heated ski-storage, with heated “hooks” for boots. There’s a sauna available for free on certain days. Within easy walking distance (even when carrying skis/snowboards) are two (free) ski-bus stops, so you can easily get to any slope without driving. There’s a large supermarket across the street and it’s an approx. 10-minute walk to the center of Saalbach. Unfortunately in our expectations, disappointing cleaning, old and broken furniture, bathroom a mess. Trash bag will not menagerie, cracked tiles in the bathroom ... I had to buy new bags household were probably in recession ... Breakfast was somewhat varied, but if it did not work the first time, otherwise, due to limited space, or wait in line to sit at the table or standing at the same table with 4 or 5 still unknown. Once again ... unfortunately below our expectations given the cost of stay. the only thing that compensates all is the ski slopes very good, big ski area
