Very clean and cosy apartments with all the essentials. The owner was friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend to anyone planning a ski trip to Mayhofren. Good location at the bottom of the town with lots of nice restaurants close by.

We are a family of 5 just back from a 7 night holiday in Mayrhofen and stayed in the Knunbauer apartments. We booked through Directski and chose the 3 bed apartment in the complex. Each room was impeccably clean with a large double bed in each room. The double beds were dressed with a double bed sheet but 2 single duvets so sharing a room was fine possible. The bathroom was large with 2 sinks and a power shower which had hot water at any time the day or night. Finally a large, fully equipped kitchen with table room for 8 finished off the apartment. The apartment is at the bottom of the village but still only a 6 minute walk to the main cable car that carries you up to the mountain and closer again to the many restaurants in the town. The 7am bell that rings through the town will be your alarm clock as, after a day skiing, you will be in bed early in any case. This is honest to goodness value and deserves more than the 2.5 stars that it is listed under. Overall, there are perhaps more modern interiors to choose from in Mayrhofen than Knunbauer but none cleaner and none providing better value. I heartily recommend it and we will be back.…

On booking a two bedroom apartment through a package holiday, we were pleasantly surprised to find such a well appointed, spacious and comfortable apartment. A big plus was having 2 bathrooms - both en suite. The two bedrooms are separated by a compact entrance hall/kitchen/dining area. This is small but fully functional - a very clever design. The beds are of excellent quality and the showers are great with hot water at all times. We were three people and we were given 3 sets of keys without any fuss. Lovely friendly service, too. I'd highly recommend.

Just back from a week staying in these lovely apartments - we had two ensuite bedrooms which had a nice little kitchen in the middle. Perfect for our family of 4. Was spotlessly clean. Stunning views. A short stroll through the town to the ski lift. Supermarkets and restaurants on the door step. Ski room downstairs. Was lovely and cosy and warm. Comfy beds and nice powerful hot showers too. Owner was friendly. Really loved it.

The photos on TripAdvisor do not do this place justice. Our apartment was fantastic. Bright, amazing views and cozy. Everything we required. A lovely lady looking after the place. We will be back next year. Great skiing and fab town.

On arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find our 2 bedroom apartment was very clean & spacious, there were 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathroom & separated by a kitchenette which had everything we needed, kettle, toaster, microwave oven, pots, pans & dishwasher. Towels were changed once during the week. Apartments are in a good location 10-15 mins to the main Penkenbahn ski lift (a little longer if wearing ski boots) but only a short walk to the ski bus stop. Within walking distance to everything & the train station was not too far away either. The only negative was the church clock chiming at 7am each day (but we just used this as our alarm clock) Upon arrival we paid €100 deposit, along with €47 for cleaning & €1.50 per person per day tourist tax. This had to be paid in cash as credit cards were not accepted. Aluisa, the owner was very helpful & friendly. The only suggestion I would make is for there to be an information card in the apartments giving details of charges & where local amenities are. Overall a great stay & would highly recommend these apartments.…

I have stayed at the guest house Knunbauer several times over the past four years and my experience has always been excellent. The friendly family owner keeps the guest house spotless and is very helpful with local knowledge. I truly can not fault anything about my visits here. All the rooms have balconies, TV, and en suite. The guest house is situated in the High Street and is close to all the local amenities. Thoroughly recommended!!

We were 3 friends and got 2 rooms apt. with large bathroom. The owner is very friendly and takes a good care of the place - clean, everything in good condition. The storage room for the ski equipment is large and comfy with a dryers for shoes. Recommended as a low budget option!

The guesthouse is located on the main street, close to every attraction that Mayrhofen has to offer, and to the train station in case that you travel by train. The Penkenbahn is located 5 minutes walk from the apartments. The place is kept in a superb way, and the feel is homelike and cozy. The breakfast is good. The lady who keeps the place is very nice and thoughtful. Really enjoyed my stay there.
