We stayed for 2 nights at this 3*hotel as a part of our holiday.
Our room was clean and quite big, beds comfortable and a loft bedroom for our daughter.
We also had a big balcony with a beautiful view on the mountains.
It´s a great location.
We stayed on a half board basis. Our dinner included soup, salad bar, main course(options) and dessert.
There is a TV with a Czech program in the lobby bar and Pilsner Urquell beer.
Free WIFI – works without any problems.
Tip – Tauern Spa Resort
We really enjoyed our stay and would very much like to return.
Special Thanks to Jaroslav for his help and advices.

Excellent service, friendly staff, super clean and very convenient location.
Breakfast and dinner very good. A 2min walk from the ski bus station, 4min from the Meiskogel lift, even kids did not complain for walking with their skis on their shoulders.

Great hotel for ski holiday with perfekt location in the heart of Kaprun, with walking distance to city center, ski bus, Therme spa and ski slopes! Decorated in the Austrian style, with superb rooms (my opinion 4*), rich breakfast buffet and tasty dinner 3 course menu plus salat bar inclusive. On the bar you can enjoy original tab Pilsener Urquelle beer or some local spirits and coffee. Staff is very friendly, helpful and gives local advices and tips...! This place has a friendly atmosphere and we really enjoyed our stay there. Thank you all!

The Hotel St Florian is marketed as a family run Austrian hotel. This is not the case. The hotel was taken over in late 2008 by Czech owners and is now run on a shoe string. The staff, all 6 of them, are Czech and are constantly on duty. This number of staff is totally inadequate for a hotel of this size so rooms are not serviced properly with no cleaning, bed making etc. The person in charge of the kitchen is also a cleaner so with no proper chef the food is very poor. The meals also tend to be Czech style with plenty of stodge and no salads or vegetables. The Austrian beer in the bar has even been substituted by Czech Budvar.
If you want Austrian standards of service during your stay in Kaprun then don't book the St Florian but look elsewhere. There are plenty of excellent Austrian run hotels in Kaprun eg the Orgler, Barbarahof and Kaprunerhof all of which I've stayed at and would thoroughly recommend.

St. Florian is the biggest mistake our 12 person group took part of.
Probably the fact that the food was under any civilized standard really turned us against this hotel.
It's very funny how time has passed and we still talk and laugh about the bad experience we had.
Anything that is writen as "services" its far from beeing posible to use, its there so they could get the stars.
The matresses don't let you sleep after a day full of skiing.
The only good thing is that its location-cross the street from the skiing slopes.
I would not recomand this hotel to anyone, not eaven my enemies.

This hotel is a great newly furnished 3*+ family hotel right next to a excelent ski slope and ice rink right in the centre of Kaprun. Offers great food, very friendly and nice staff, sauna, gym etc. The rooms are confortable with meny belongings as hair dryer with tipical austrian atmosphere. I do reccoment this hotel for families as for other travelers. Will come back !!!!!! Viliam

Very nice hotel with big rooms, good food and staff who is able to speak Czech, English and German language. The hotel is positioned just few meters from the ski-running track in Kaprun as well as the same for the Maiskogel ski slopes with the ski-bus stop to the Kitzsteinhorn. To the Kitzsteinhorn you can get also by car and it is about 15 minutes. Another nice ski area is at Zell am See and the first possible parking lot and ski lift entrance is about 10km from Kaprun in Shutdorf. If would like to travel far you can get to the Saalbach or Weissee (in the spring it looks like a nice skitouring and freeride area).

I've spent there 3 days with a group of our business partner. All the staff were taking care about us on high level. Meal was excellent and accomodation was on appropriate level. Rooms and all the hotel premises were clean and modern. Hotel is just 10 minutes by walk from Tauern Spa. So, I will recommend this hotel to all my friends.

"For families, the rooms numbered from 1 to 6 are newly furbished and look great. They have some sort of inside extra floor with extra bed so that's also good for a child not too small. Those rooms also have great bathrooms."
