We stayed in this hotel when visiting with our two children. The location was absolutely beautiful with the most stunning balcony overlooking a lush green valley with the mountains towering all around! Staying here really felt magical as we sat on our flower bedecked balcony for hours at a time, captivated by the views. The rooms were extremely comfortable, well appointed, and immaculate and the owners were warm and friendly. Breakfasts were wonderful with fresh products from the family's farm. Stay here if you want to have a fabulous, authentic austrian experience!
We were just floored by the vistas we had driving up to the Pension Ederhof (we spent 1 only night). On one side were green fields with the Grossglockner right there in front of us and on the other side the valley way down below. If you ever stay here ask for a Grossglockner view room! Upon our arrival, Frau Lackner, the owner, served us coffe on her patio and was a very gracious host. Just a note, it really helps to know some German here as Anni speaks very limited English. At breakfast, Frau Lackner (Anni) sat and talked with us (I speak fairly good German) for about an hour, as she was just as interested in us and where we were from as we were about her and what life was like there. This Pension is about 5 - 10 minutes outside of town, so if you seek peace and quiet, and I do mean quiet, this is it. We will definitely be back to stay a bit longer.…
