The spa, swimming pool and steamy bath were awesome and the housekeeping staff were very helpful and courteous. The interiors were beautifully lined with expensive wood and marble. The bed was nice and cosy. There was parking facility on the backside for my car.

We booked a room with two small beds since it was the only one available for the dates we needed. It was a couple of days after a panamanian holiday (carnavales), so it was not too crowded, but they had a lot of check outs. The room was small, basic but comfortable, and they let us join the beds. We had a small window/balcony. The shower had hairs on it so we requested cleaning, which they did. The view in the restaurant is gorgeous, and food was good. Breakfast is only fruits, bread, cereal and tea, but they have a breakfast menu you can order and pay. They have two pools but we didn't use them, as we're more into the beach. They don't have access to the beach. Service was not bad, but cold. The only good service we notice was the cleaning staff.

Name has changed from Villa Romana to Punta FranCa, and is now being managed by sisters rather than brother, but long-term ownership remains same with an Italian-Panamanian family. This is a great place and will be appreciated by those who are not bothered with little issues. Keep your sense of humor and enjoy this special place. They leave you alone and are never pressuring you to buy drinks or meals; just ask if you need something. Good for independent travelers. Car travel into town takes 15 or 20 minutes. Cross Chappaquiddick bridge on the way (don't drive after drinking). Great landscaping and landscape lighting, incredible views. Walk down private steps to a really clean and private beach. I think the rooms were very tastefully designed and furnished. Complimentary continental breakfast is very simple and includes cut tropical fruit. Can order cooked breakfast if you prefer. Nice pool plus they have separate kids pool. I consider it best place in Panama. Want to go back again sometime.

My first time in Pedasi, and my first time in Puerto Escondido, Playa los Destiladeros. The road to get there, it was quite an adventure, but when we arrived at the hotel, which is really hidden, the place and the view it keeps, Its paid EVERYTHING. Comfortable, modern and clean rooms, It has the two pools, need to improve maintenance. The food was very good, only that at breakfast, there were many flies that made eating unpleasant, but it only happened in the morning. Walking about 3 minutes, going down a hill, The is a Beach, Playa los Destiladeros. Beautiful beach, clean, very clean and best of all - Without People. Clean and beautiful sand. In September you can see from the hotel, whales. At less than 30 minutes, you can go to Isla Iguana and 20 minutes to the town of Pedasi, where you can eat at a cost of US3.50 full meals. The rooms have air conditioning, hot and cold water, cable, and ceiling fan. The hotel has an excellent WIFI that reaches even the beach itself. The best, of all: The sight and the tranquility, that really pays for it. If you want to live an experience of relaxation, tranquility, peace alone or accompanied, I recommend it.
