This a 1950s/60s style roadside inn. The rooms are more like cottages; free-standing and most with private entrances from outside. It's cozy, comfortable, and above all clean. The amenities are not extravagant - coffee-maker, flat screen TV, fridge, but they all functioned well, unlike some other places I've stayed. The wi-fi connection is solid and fast. The staff is friendly... More

Small bed room and small bathroom - as often is the case for older motel. Decor felt a bit dated. But clean, decent rate, friendly managers, and convenient location for exploring the Black Hills area. Other guests seemed considerate - no loud noises during nights we stayed there, etc. Motel doesn't offer free breakfast but does offer very good deal... More

This is a very clean and quaint motel. We were lucky enough to happen on to this motel. The price was right. You can tell the owners take pride in their property. They were very nice. If ever back in this area will for sure stay here.

We stumbled upon this quaint, quiet, and comfortable motel nestled in the Black Hills near the Crazy Horse memorial and Custer State Park. It was very cozy and felt like home. The beds were comfortable, and the room was equipped with a microwave, a refrigerator, and a very nice shower. Parking was very convenient, and the room was very private in... More

We did a girls trip. and stayed there for 4 days. It was perfect! Cute cozy rooms, a out door space to sit and have a glass of wine. The owners are very nice. It is close to the park and a lot of attractions. You can walk downtown. We meet some very nice people that made it even more... More

This place is clean. I was worried I would be experiencing that cool, new trend of tiny living, but this room was the same as any other hotel room. The currently ranked #1 hotel the rocket is across the street. You can walk to town and the purple pie place. The free breakfast at the wrangler is a good deal.... More

My family and I visit Custer, South Dakota every few years and we stay here everytime. It's comfortable, clean, and the owner is super sweet! It's really close to all the downtown shops and restaurants too so it's nice to be able to walk around if you don't feel like driving.

Exceptional value with customer service to match.. We arrived late, so called ahead to let them know. She left the key and a map (it's a small area) for us outside. She also moved us to a different room that was away from other guests so we didn't wake anyone; very considerate for all involved. The rooms were clean and... More
