My husband and I just needed to stop en route home to CO, traveling across the country from the East. This lodge was perfectly adequate and pleasant -- quiet, clean, coffee pot that worked in the room, 'fridge, also nice little breakfast for guests. They were sweet enough to lay out gluten free break for me even! And if you're... More

Rock Crest Lodge is a fantastic location to explore the Black Hills. It is adjacent to Custer State Park, Mt. Rushmore, and Crazyhorse Memorial. We met our daughters and their families there to spend some outdoor adventures with the boys ages 10, 8, and 6. The younger families had a great cabin at the top of the hill, where the... More

The cabins were clean with great patios to enjoy the gorgeous view. The beds were not very comfortable but that was the only downside. Located very close to Mount Rushmore and many big attractions. Front desk was very nice and helpful with things to do in the area.

The whole property is very clean and there is a clear effort to keep it that way. The cabins seem new and are put off from the main road far enough to make them feel somewhat secluded and are backed by a forest. We were able to see multiple deer both nights from the cabin porch and were able to... More

Referred here when nothing was available in Custer State Park. Wish now we had done a little more research before booking. We did enjoy the front deck/porch of our cabin. But the price was high for what we had and parking in the cabin area was very crowded. Upon arrival we were brusquely informed that the hot tub was closed... More

We love Rock Crest Lodge. We stayed here seven years ago on our anniversary, and stayed again recently for our 33rd anniversary. The room was very clean and we love the large spa tub. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a big pool which we often had to ourselves. The hotel is also in a good... More

RCL is situated in perfect location to easily get to all the attractions or neighboring communities. The room in the lodge we rented was clean quiet and perfect for 2 people. The staff was pleasant. The breakfast is not that much but we were out early everyday and a muffin and coffee was perfect.

We were in 120 of the duplex, was worried because it was close to parking lot and thought it wasn't secluded enough, but did not hear any of the street noises and we had our window open a few nights. It was clean, well maintained and the cleaning staff was great to work with as far as scheduling when they... More

We stayed here for 6 nights in Cabin 201 which had a hot tub on the deck. When we got into the room we wanted to put our luggage on the wooden luggage rack, but it was broken. We started putting some of our things in the drawers and there was trash in them. I called the front desk and... More

My family and I are riding the Mickelson trail and this hotel was one of our stops. We chose this hotel first, because of it's close proximity to the bike trail and two because after many miles of riding we were looking forward to relaxing our sore leg muscles in the hot tub. Upon checking in, we learned that the... More
