We stayed for 2 nights in cabin 1 and 8 nights in cabin3. Great stay in both. Peaceful, spacious, good kitchen fully equipped. Cabin 1–Not much room to unpack and put clothes—one of the two rooms had a chest of drawers and the other room had nothing to put things in. Cabin 3 had zero space to unpack, only cubby hole with few pegs to hang stuff. Cabin 3 is closest to pond and has unobstructed view to cathedral spires, but cabin 1 is much more spacious and a better value for the money . At any rate, we would gladly come back to either cabin but would prefer cabin 1 due to it being bigger with bigger and more spacious bedrooms and living room.

This is our second time staying at the Black Hills Bungalows. The cabins and scenary are wonderful, and the location makes it so convenient to enjoy the Black Hills. There is plenty of wildlife (deer, turkeys) to see and enjoy. The communication with the owners made our stay one of the best we have had. If we return to the Black Hills we will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Black Hills Bungalows for two nights during our trip to the Dakotas. The cabin was cozy and clean. We loved having a grill and fire pit and it was very convenient to be able to buy wood bundles at the office with self pay. It's close enough to the state park but away from all the business. We loved seeing all the deer as we drove to our place and the goats and cats who live on the property are the cutest. One of the cats, Ariel, even greeted us when we arrived and we enjoyed seeing her in the mornings and evenings. We also needed something to start the fire with and the owner came right away with matches and a lighter after I texted her. I would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area and miss it already. (especially the kitties!)

We just returned home from the Black Hills Bungalows and I can't rave about it enough! Susan and Scott were amazing and the Cabins were fantastic. We stayed in one cabin for 3 days and another for 2 days due to availability. They went above and beyond to make sure our transition was smooth. I also can't say enough about how sweet they were. Our son fell in love with the goats and would walk them at night with Scott and Susan. It was his favorite part of the trip. I booked after reading all of the reviews and could not agree more. The location was fantastic for all of the sights we wanted to see. I can't wait for our next trip to the Bungalows!

This is a very family friendly vacation, we met up with 5 other family members. The cabins were very nice and had everything we needed! The cabins are very close to a lot of vacation spots such as MT Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park with the most beautiful drive :) I highly recommend the Black Hills Bungalows!

This is an excellent place for all. The hosts are on point, warm, and friendly. The cabins are beautiful with the cutest cabin accents. Lots of sites close by. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area going forward.

This is an excellent place to stay and is off the beaten path. We stayed in cabin 2 and had an awesome view of the needles from the deck. The cabins are very clean, updated and the person that checked us in very polite and helpful. We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more. We would definitely recommend this to other travelers.

Well, all I can say is this place is wonderful. Our cabin was so clean! The gas stove did a great job of keeping us Texans warm! Three lovely bedrooms with very comfortable beds. We were in Cabin 5 and the view was perfect. One day we even saw a stampede of wild turkeys!! Kitchen was well stocked and all we had to do is bring some food. Next visit to South Dakota will be with BHB and we'll stay for a much longer visit.

Our family of 4 (kids ages 10 and 9) loved our 3 night stay at the Bungalows--we only wish we had booked a longer visit. We stayed in cabin 3, which looked great, had a perfect view, and was well-stocked, including special touches like books and magazines. We've stayed at a handful of other cabins in Colorado and Minnesota's North Shore, but the Bungalows has been our favorite. I felt so at peace soaking in the quiet stillness and beauty. Our daughter's trip highlight was feeding the goats and petting the cats---she could have spent her entire vacation with them. The property is perfectly off the beaten path, yet still convenient to area attractions. We will definitely return the next time we are able to vacation to the Black Hills area.
