This was a great place to stay. The rooms very updated large and clean. We had a balcony with chairs and a table with a view of the forest. The room had small refrigerator and microwave. It had a table and 2 chairs plus a comfortable couch. The creek ran beside the building. The buffalo roam the property freely. The... More

I have stayed in some very historic state park lodges and been very disappointed, but not here. It was a great place. Only 30 rooms at the Creekside Lodge. They were big rooms with a small refrigerator and microwave. It was within a few hundred yards of the State Park Lodge. We enjoyed our stay here!

This is a new lodge. Rooms were great. Clean, historic inn to eat at with a nice bar and gift store. The front porch of the main lodge dining room really needed a little cleaning especially the steps. The buffalo safari was great. Went right up to them and saw a lot of wild life. BUT staff needs to be... More

Stayed two nights at the lodge in a room that was both clean and comfortable. Often found there was no one present at reception and a one hundred metre walk to the restaurant and central lodge was needed to get assistance. Encountered numbers of Bison on the lodge grounds at various times so felt it was prudent to carry torches... More

Custer is a lovely State Park and a great place to visit! We spent several nights at Creekside Lodge....a relatively new building adjacent to the Historic State Game Lodge. It is a typical "motel" .....conveniently located with nice views. The room is good sized, but the vanity and sink are located in the sleeping area....not a good situation for one... More

We stayed here for three nights in May and had an excellent experience. The rooms are large, clean, and have very nice amenities. No complaints at all. The only thing we wished is that we had a balcony or patio. It seemed that every other room had one, but our king room did not. Our room looked out on a... More

Very nice setting next to the creek. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk. We called and someone arrived after a while to check us in. She had no knowledge of hiking trails, although there was a lovely trail (creekside trial I think) right behind the lodge starting by the shed between creekside and state lodge.... More

We stayed recently during "off" season and had a wonderful stay. The lodge was very clean and new with pretty log-cabin-type decor. We got a large creekside queen/queen room with pull-out sofa and door to a small patio with 3 chairs. First morning, there were buffalo right outside along the creek! (They only came that first morning, but there are... More

We were happy to take advantage of the "winter rates" at this beautiful Custer State Park Lodge. Rooms are nicely decorated in cozy lodge theme. Best part was waking up at dawn and driving the nearby wildlife loop to see the bison and other animals so close to the lodge. Breakfast was simple but we appreciated it because no dining... More

We stayed only one night but the cabin was amazing! There were 5 adults in the cabin and we payed $10 extra dollars for our dog. We had family visiting from Oregon and wanted to show them the park and monuments around. The cabin itself was beautiful. We stayed during late December so there was snow. The lodge provided us...
