Very nice shelters for the tenters. We used it to help protect our tent since it rained most of the day the 3 days we were there. However, the idea of putting the only toilets in the same room as the only showers in the building causes a lot of problems in the mornings. People trying to just use the...

We stayed in cabin number 3 and it was perfect. Very quiet at night and perfect for our parents that had an RV and were right across from us. Owners were great to deal with and very attentive to any needs. Location in Custer is central to about anything you would like to go see...Rushmore, Custer State Park, Needles Highway,...

We've rented here twice this year. My wife found it by their website. Nice pleasant hosts. Family run. They have thirty tent sites. Nice tent site not all crammed together like an after thought. There were deer grazing and a flock of wild turkeys wondering around. They have a wagon and a teepee that can also be rented out. Overall...

Thank you for leaving us a review. We are happy to hear you had a pleasant stay and were able to meet our resident wildlife. Our location off busy highways and up in the trees allows for our guests to meet the local residents of the Black Hills and we are always glad to hear that guests enjoyed them as...

They have a fenced in little "dog park" where your dogs can run off leash which was a huge plus for us. A nice playground, showers and bathrooms, and laundry facility. Full hookups and even cable and wifi. The owners are nice and very helpful. The campground itself is very nice and comfortable. The campground has a lot of shade...

Thank you for leaving us a review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and that the new dog park made the stay better for you four legged family members. We are also glad you were able to enjoy the wildlife we get in the park. We are lucky that our forested location brings them in for our campers to...

This campground was great for our family of five. It is centrally located for getting to all of the sights and attractions in the Black Hills. It is situated under big pine trees and is very well shaded. We were traveling with a 34 foot travel trailer and the management put us in the perfect spot for the trailer as...

This campground is wonderful. It is shaded with trees. The sites are spacious and quiet. The bath house has 8 family bathrooms with sink, toilet, and shower. Each one has its own water heater so you don't have to worry about someone else using up all the hot water before you get there! They do provide wifi, but it's very...

Thank you for your wonderful review. We and our staff work very hard to try and insure every camper has a great stay with us and are happy to hear yours was good. We continually work to speed up the wifi. As demand continues to grow we have added repeaters and service upgrades to try and address this need. It...

Thank goodness for last minute Labor Day availability! I generally enjoy a campsite that is a little more secluded, but this was a great find. They have both covered and open camping spots. I opted for covered in case of inclement weather. This also provided electricity. The sites are quite close together and close to a road. Each site does...

Thank you for your review. We understand the desire of tent campers to be secluded and have our tent loops removed from the RV area to help provide some. The electric sites are closer together than the rustic sites unfortunately due to their location on a upper ridge and we are looking to expand electricity into some of the other...

We stayed here for two nights - Aug 28/29, 2016. We stayed in the tipi. The good: the bathrooms were clean, nice to have the sink, toilet and shower to yourself. The campground is beautiful. The host was lovely and the owner stopped by to see if we needed anything. It is 2 minuts to Custer which is a lovely...

Thank you for your review. We do clean the tipi's multiple times a year but they are made of canvass and will have a tent smell to them. While we have them raised up on decks to give some airflow under the tipi as well as insure they stay warm and dry inside, as any deck there are small spaces...

Great base camp for all the Black Hills sightseeing. 1 mile out of Custer, yet feels super country. Tons of stars at night! Deer and turkeys right in the campground. Fenced in dog park which isn't something I've seen at other campgrounds. Super simple and quiet campground. Well maintained. Veteran owned and operated. Will definitely visit again.

We stayed here late June and found it a very nice place. It was recommended to us by family. Easy in and out spots for campers and close to the attractions. All the spots have shade and very quiet. Would definitely stay here again

“If possible ask for a different site other then #35. This site is near the bath/shower rooms and stationed just outside the shower rooms are the dumpsters that smelt bad and housed thousands of flies. It seemed that dumpster could be moved or at least dumped more frequently. It was overflowing and appeared to of not been dumped during our stay. This was the only draw back to our stay on the park.”
