We stayed in a "Sleeping Cabin - 2 Queens" and it was fantastic. There were three of us. The cabin has a very nice front porch with furniture. It is so nice to sit out there to enjoy the scenery and nature. There is an outdoor fire pit, which we used one night for smores. Best of all - the... More

Our family of four stayed in housekeeping cabin #22. It was just as pictured. The kitchen was stocked with enough plates, silverware and cups for 4. The bathroom came with towels and basic toiletries. Blue Bell was a great location to enjoy the Wildlife Loop, Jewel Cave, Mount Rushmore and the rest of Custer State Park.

Refuse to stay in cabin #7 or others built in 1928! Dead flies on the windowsills, dust and inch thick, Windows boarded with cardboard, big bugs, a hole the size of a breadbox in the wall under the sink, and this was a housekeeping cabin! I wondered when the carpet was last vacuumed. Our suitcases were not unzipped, in an effort... More

We stayed in a cabin that had two bedrooms 1 bath a kitchen dining table that seats 6 and a mini living area comfy couch and 2 oversized chairs. It was nice, had a full fridge and stove all dishes provided + coffee and coffee maker. We chose housekeeping to. Beds were comfortable windows opened and were screened. Bathtub a... More

We stayed here 3 nights and enjoyed the peace and quite. Was clean and had comfortable beds. The carpet was torn in front of the fireplace and there were many horseflies in the cabin. Being fall, it was understandable but the lodge should provide fly swatters or fly paper for lodgers. The location was good for access to the Wildlife... More

The food there was EXCELLENT. No complaints about that. Our waitress, on the other hand, was extremely unfriendly and seemed to hate her job. Did not smile at all, did not care to ask how our food was- even after we told her it was excellent, she walks away with no comment. I would go again, despite the terrible service,... More

Stayed in cabin 1. It was clean quiet comfortable and very well equipped. More important was the superb staff who handled some small issues that we had very professionally, could not have been a better stay in a more beautiful spot.

We had a cabin which was equip with a refrig, stove top and microwave as well as basic utensils, a beautiful fireplace with wood for one night, a love porch, picnic table and pit for campfire. The room was spacious with a table for dining and working. The location was ideal for our travels. The cabin had issues though. There... More

My wife and I stayed here and LOVED it. We stayed for 5 days and it wasnt long enough. The cabin was cozy and had a fireplace, bathroom, and small kitchen. Perfectly located in the park close to the wildlife loop. Buffalo and deer was around our cabin everyday with an eagle close by. It also had a small store... More

“Some cabins are much newer than others and they are more pleasant in every way. I believe the cabins in the 20s are the newest.”
  • lots of mold around the tub and in the grout.
  • Even the phone was sticky and dirty. A little 409 and a sponge would go a long way here.
  • The kitchen was lacking a LOT of basics but we were ready for pancakes!
